"Shrinking" Mini Excavator - too wide for boat

If you decide to go the helicopter route, call the big logging companies for leads. They use helicopters to fly out big $$ trees from remote areas.

Semi truck Import/export Canada to US

They won't do **** about the southern border, but let me tell you they almost brought out the swat team when I tried to cross with a Ram 5500 and the wrong (unknowingly) paperwork.

Cost of Owning vs Renting vs Hauling equipment

It all depends on what you are doing. I am a big believer in renting when you are starting or growing. BUT, in my opinion, you need to own some type of excavator and loader and a dump truck/trailer to pull them. Size varies on type of work, urban vs. rural, etc. You need to be able to say...

Local towing company facing fines/ jail time for running "deleted" trucks

How I'm I supposed to tell the guys to idle the crane truck less or the truck with the hydraulic tool circuit? They absolutely need to idle the truck to perform their work. I just spent $$$$$$ replacing the DPF system.

    Failed compaction test

Hi all, I’ve never failed a compaction test before but I guess there’s a first time for everything. We had a spot repair job with a bunch of locations and the compaction results are coming back at around 90%. They are mostly ductile iron pipe installs about 4 to 5 feet deep. I’m not sure where...

    Trash pump discharge sizes

    1. I already have a 6" Trash pump 2. I already have thousands of feet of 4" SDR 17 Fusable HDPE and a fusion machine 3. Discharge needs to be crossed by vehicle traffic for which I am to build ramps (tough to get clearance on a 6" pipe for low cars). 4. I already have ramps that I built for 4"...

    Trash pump discharge sizes

Hi all, I have a project coming up where I'd like to use a 6" trash pump with a 4" discharge pipe. Will this just reduce the discharge capacity or will it cause problems with the pump? Thanks

    Soil Screening

Hi All, I got a soil screener/shreader running in our yard now. It has been a lot of fun and already and already paid for itself. Anyone else screening? How do you like it after a while? Do you mix compost? How do you kill seed out of your soil piles?

    Wheel Excavators

I was happy with the rubber tracked hoe when I was running it. I feel like I could have been made to replace pavement if the street inspector wasn't kind to me (My employees weren't as gentle).
