    Standard flow mulcher

There's nothing magical about a machine with a sticker that says high flo other than having a bigger cooler and an extra pump that can be turned on or off 20 GPM is 20 GPM, 30 GPM is 30 GPM etc., the attachment knows no difference and any high flo machine should be designed around whichever...

    Mulchers

Or you could rent a chipper and drag it down every other row while people feed the trimmings in? Probably the cheapest option.

    Standard flow mulcher

Dennis Cimaf is now making a low flo mulcher, the 150D I think. It's rated to work down to 20GPM I'm pretty sure.

    AFE mulching head

The disk style, Diamond or AFE, will not leave a fine finished product like a drum mulcher can. They throw debris and you would spend more time chasing the stuff down to reprocess it again. Very quick at getting it rough chopped and on the ground though and less expensive all around like...

    Standard flow mulcher

You've probably already made a purchase but A disk mulcher is going to leave you with pretty much the same finish product as a decent mower will. You can always rent a mower for a day and see if it does what you want. Most rental yards or equipment dealers have one or two in their rental fleet.

    High flow?

No on the mulcher... You'd be best with a brush mower. A mulcher would be a big waste of money, they really need a min of 30+ GPM and 3K PSI and that's on the low side and some serious cooling to go with it.

looking at brush mowers viring or bradco

I have had and used a few including a Bradco, I now own a Diamond and it's the best mower I've used. The deck design is top notch and makes leaving a nice finished product much easier and faster. It will cut down a big tree also if you spin it up to where it's designed to run. I think their low...

Grapple attachment on John Deere 319d

It should be easy to unhook as long as there is no pressure on either side, make sure the grapple isn't clinched. You may also have a little leak in a valve or something on the machine side, try shutting the machine off when hooking up? I have had to crack a fitting loose before on the grapple...

MULCHER PROBLEM !!!! HELP !!!! Cat 289 with FAE mulcher flow problem.. maybe...

I have not run an AFE disk mulcher but have demo'd the Diamond and own a diamond brush mower. You need to keep the flywheel spinning, the faster it is spinning, the less likely it is to sling pieces large enough to cover any distance. You also learn what direction is the danger zone and it's...

    Building fire breaks with CTL

I own a soil conditioner and it takes a bit to churn up decent growth to the point that it would be a good fire break, if it's real rooty it takes more than one pass. It will go deep enough and the rocks may not agree with it if they are large. The offset disk is what the forestry service uses...

    Another filter question

A big name corporate shop and we just bought a motor in a 2 year old Mercedes due to a filter failure. A peice of the felt gasket apparently brome loose and clogged up some goodies in the valve train.

looking for a land leveler or rake

I have the wheel kit, it helps to stop the grader from digging in once it gets some weight on it when material builds up. I'm sure it would be less important as machine size grows. It also helps to pick up the attachment when going over a depression to drop the material into the depression...

    Best trailer for bobcat t630

Like said above, with your machine you may be pushing the weight limits though. The trailer I won widths 4800# empty so there is only about 10,500# left for payload including the tongue weight. My machine is only 7700#

    Best trailer for bobcat t630

I own an S630 and use a Big Tex20+5 GN deck over with 7k# axles and am very happy with it. Room to side load a bucket one each side up front and an have attachment on the machine. GN trailers tow much better but are a little less friendly to maneuver. If I have an attachment, even just forks on...

looking for a land leveler or rake

Yup, toothed bucket and a Harley rake is the ticket. My rake is a Bobcat soil conditioner with power angle, there is no substitute for a professional looking and fluffed up surface for seed. They do really well at smoothing things out in the process and cleaning up the debris. Angling the rake...

    Renting attachments

It's hard to pass that expense on to your customer IMO unless it's an unusual attachment because there are probably others out there who own it. I did some renting but have more or less quit doing work outside of using things I own. Also talk to the dealers and rental gardsabout used...

Bobcat T190 w/72" sweeper box only working in 1 direction

Look for the valve on the attachment, should be two coils stacked with 2 wires rinning to each, check wiring, if not check the coils. Surplus Center sells them pretty cheap.

    873 bobcat

Yes it just runs through a rubber grommet. It just pulls out.

MULCHER PROBLEM !!!! HELP !!!! Cat 289 with FAE mulcher flow problem.. maybe...

The other question that I didn't see asked, do you know the mulcher was working propey when you bought it? Did you see it working? I would think that even witha shortage on flow the mulcher wouldn't bog down in little stuff.

MULCHER PROBLEM !!!! HELP !!!! Cat 289 with FAE mulcher flow problem.. maybe...

Can you get your money back? Obviously the attachment you bough was misrepresented and does you no good, in others words you didn't get what you thought you were getting. I would think it would be easier and cheaper to buy a properly setup mulcher rather than buying a new motor, hoses, couplers...
