Case 450CT need AC 134a charge capacity and High/Low pressures please

Takes 18oz of freon. Mine works really good when it’s below 90* outside but not so good when it’s 95+. Keeping the system clean helps. I blow the evaportor and condenser out a couple times a day. Good luck.

    Case 850G Hydraulic Pump

Well the pic I posted has the snap ring in it. Apparently there is an upgraded pump, I could tell mine had been replaced at dome point since it was red. Maybe I got the wrong seal since I was going off an older drawing. The seal I took out was same as new seal though.

    Case 850G Hydraulic Pump

The oil level on the dozer has been coming up so I suspected the hydraulic pump seal was leaking letting oil into the sump. I tore the pump apart yesterday and things didn’t go as I suspected they would, hoping someone can help. The shaft seal sits in a recess thats about 2” deep and the...

D6c cat loss of oil pressure

Good deal Steve. Sounds like you are gonna come out alright on this.

D6c cat loss of oil pressure

I’m with most everyone else on here Steve, Ziegler should make things right and get you a running machine. Even if you told them “patch up the engine and get it back to me” ( which I don’t think you did) they should have at least warned you about all the things that needed to be checked out with...

D6c cat loss of oil pressure

Dozers are pretty much money pits, the bigger and older they are the bigger and deeper the pit. There's are reason the guys that do dozer work for a living charge what they do and stay a month or more behind. Just hope that you have enough projects to work this repair bill out of the tractor...

Please help i am new to skid steers

I would say just hook a chain to it and drag it outside or jack it up and put a small piece of plywood under each tire then drag it out. Skid steers should have a release but I haven't seen one that does.

D6c cat loss of oil pressure

Unfortunately it seems this is the way most shops do business these days. I think they get on the quick easy jobs to turn cash and leave bigger jobs on back burner. Update calls seem pretty rare unless it’s to collect some $$$

    Case 850G Hydraulic Pump

Thanks for the help. I had been looking at that diagram wrong, think I got it now. I suspect a bad seal is causing engine oil to rise.

    Case 850G Hydraulic Pump

Has anyone replaced a hydraulic pump on a 850G? Book shows to just unbolt pump from timing cover and remove, I’m a little nervous about the timing gear dropping if I don’t remove front cover. I suspect the front seal is leaking on the pump and need to replace it. Thanks

    Bobcat T650 vs Kubota SVL75-2

No ride control that I’m aware of. They do offer it on thier ag tractors though. It’s called KSSR or something close to that, I wish I would have gotten it on my last tractor heard it really helps.

    Bobcat T650 vs Kubota SVL75-2

I just bought an SVL 75-2 and the 2 speed is a great feature. I looked at 3 mph difference too. After going 7 mph I’m not sure I would want to go 10 mph, 7 is rough enough for me.

New Case SV340 Tier 4 Final

The new yellow and black looks good. I’m still undecided wether or not I like the tracks over the tires. Sometimes the tracks vibrate prety bad.

Help a new guy buy a used dozer

Some of the auction sites like Brinkleys and Purpewave have a “previous auctions” section were you can see what equipment brought at auction. Kind of interesting to look through. Sometimes high sometimes low makes you wonder.

Replace fluorescent with led-- shop lights

I reviewed my Amazon order and the ones I bought were Hyperikon 5000k, 2240 lumens, in “crystal white glow”. Been very happy with them. It’s hard to say how much you really save when you figure these put off no measurable heat, no ballast, and seem to last forever. We are going through close...

Replace fluorescent with led-- shop lights

I did this last year in our store. Think I replaced 26 8’ bulbs. I just wired around the ballast and left it in place. The new lights are so bright the girls complaned about them for the first couple months, said they hurt their eyes when they turned them on in the morning. These stay on a...

D6c cat loss of oil pressure

A couple years ago I was trying to find an operator to run our dozer and was trying 2 guys out. After using both for a week or so 1st guy showed up on a Sunday and worked about 4 hrs. Apparently he blew a hydraulic hose and didn’t know it and ran the tank dry. I called and ask him what happened...

D6c cat loss of oil pressure

Been a little over a year I bet you are ready to get it running. Maybe you can paint it and get the new decals on over the winter. Be like a new rig

Help a new guy buy a used dozer

What you say is true. I like doing work myself and saving money, plus get to have a little fun owning and working on different equipment. I really think you would be happier with a 100 hp size dozer but that just depends on your expectations. I saw one of my neighbors was cleaning up a fence row...
