    Case 580K hydraulic issues

"since there was a number of times where I was low on fluid. I was at the point were I couldn't lift a full bucket of dirt, unless the pedal was to the floor." All those times you operated the machine low of oil, likely killed the pump.

    case 580k

When you try to move, does the engine rev freely or does it labor? Take the floorpan up and watch the driveshaft. What's it doing? You're at the right place seeking help but you're gonna have to provide some details. I thought a 1990 model, might have been a phase 3.

Why not take the one you have apart and see exactly what's wrong with it? It might not be as bad as you think.

    Bad Rod Bearing

If it hasn't spun a main bearing, your block should be ok. If it were me, I'd want to see taken apart before committing to a $5800 engine, but you'll have to make that call.

    Bad Rod Bearing

I wonder if the one you had that failed, required welding? If the journel on a crank is bad enough to require welding before grinding, I won't use it. IMHO, there's a lot more heat generated from the welding process, than anything that might happen in a running engine. I have put crankshafts in...

    Finally Scored...

If the plastic bushings are worn out and missing from the hydraulic pump coupler at the front of the engine, the noise you will hear is easy to mistake for a bad engine. I know of one tractor that was sold for that reason. May not be your problem but might be worth looking at anyway. I really...

    Backhoe rototiller?!?!

I don't know what your soil is like there, but doing what you are thinking about where I'm at, would result in turning your yard into football sized, hard chunks of earth.

    3/4 air impact gun

A mistake I've seen many times over the years, is someone buying the biggest baddest impact wrench that can be had, and then running it through a 3/8" hose. If you want big power, you've got to have enough air. IR tools have served me well.

Case 580k 4x4 gear ratio issue?

The front pump is part of the shuttle and NOT a totally separate part.

Case 580k 4x4 gear ratio issue?

Absolutely, if you've ever done anything like this it's a piece of cake. Good place to buy your parts. http://e-backhoeparts.com/

    1989 4x4 case 580 super e charging issues

When it's charging that much it turns harder and is probably slipping the belt. As suggested, replace the regulator.

john deer 2955 farm tractor steering issues

The suction screen on my old 1520 was stopped up because a brake disk had come apart and contaminated the oil. After replacing the disk and all the oil, my problem went away.

    I did a stupid thing

I added guns to mine, thanks for reminding me. Can't say I've wasted very much on trucks.
