Iveco stralis, start, stalled, won't start again

You need to read clearly what I have written. The tanks gave valves at the top of each one to add air, plenty of tanks, just pick best one. I will say it one last time. If your truck won’t start like mine with same code, your truck likely shut down with not enough air in tanks to...

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

It sure is. It took 5 days of stripping and rebuilding over and over, and studying schematics, and getting covered in hydraulic oil, I was always so close, but no amount of reading was enough to teach me that the screw had sheared in half. Had to learn that the long slow way. But...

Stick joystick spool or ball resolver?

i undid a ball resolver seat, which is one of four Allen key screws at the bottom of resolver. I didn’t realise at the time, but it actually sheared in half as I was undoing it. When I screwed it back, obviously the check valve (ball) was faulty and it closed off the C port which is shared...

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

Well thanks to me I have finally found the problem after days. I lost forward control after unscrewing a ball resolver Allen key ball seat that I thought was how to separate the resolver from the upper valve. What actually happened was as I unscrewed it, it sheared in half and upset the...

Stick joystick spool or ball resolver?

so pilot pressure is getting to joystick, Reverse works fine, right turn is fine, But only left turn when both forward and left are pressed with joystick. Individually, I press forward down, no forward movement, No sound , no nothing, same with left now. Clearly a blockage of some...

Stick joystick spool or ball resolver?

All the I formation was provided under the MTL section. My machine is perfect. I merely changed plunger seals. Everything worked after repairing seals. The next day I unscrewed the ball resolver Allen key seat screws. Put them back. Straight after I lost forward control and left...

Stick joystick spool or ball resolver?

Hello, I have had little response to my thread so I will post generic question here as I believe my problem is one of these two. A lack of movement to main hydraulic function from 1 direction on joystick pilot control, Would this indicate a sticking plunger spool or a blockage in the ball...

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

I found the joystick to be very durable and robust, I tampered with all four of the Allen key screws thinking it was as way to undo the resolver valve, yet it did not upset reverse and right turn function. I can see by the diagram above that If there is a blockage in the resolver it is in...

Cat 287B Hydraulic issue while driving forward and turning right

Did you find an answer to this question? Or your problem?

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

I have just realised thanks to this diagram that the 4 Allen key screw things on the side of ball resolver valve are actually seats for the ball valve. I am not sure how important they are to be in any particular position, I screwed them tight.

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

Well looks like not too many people out there experienced with this stuff. Nonetheless I persist to learn the hard way and will post as I go along. I separated the resolver from the upper joystick valve/plunger assembly. 1 oring was damaged as I suspected, and it was the cause of this...

    Joystick Controls All or Nothing

I’m having issue not exactly same. But no pressure in my forward drive pilot plunger, The rest are fine except left turn is slow. I’m guessing it’s blocked orifice that is the cause .

    Cat- delayed steering response

I’m having same problem, I changed plunger seals now no forward drive and left is only very slow. Di the hydraulic hoses hold the resolver assembly to the upper valve assembly? I can’t separate them but my hides are still attached.

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

Has been disaster trying to separate the the upper joystick control valve assembly from the lower. I’ve lost 40litres of oil, will prolly lose the rest overnight. Tank is higher than the valve so once a hose undone it just leaks everywhere. Cap didn’t do any good. Disheartened.

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

Nope , still no joy, everything assembled according to schematic but front plunger unresponsive and left plunger very slow. Rear and right plungers work perfect. Reverse and right turn. Hopefully someone can help.

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

Ok no worries. Yeah I’m familiar with case drains. I’ve also narrowed down my forward problem. I located a spring that wasn’t on the plunger but must have bounced out unnoticed into the hole in the pic. I returned it to the front plunger but alas still no forward movement. The last...

Undid a pilot hydraulic line and lost forward movement.

Ok thank you for your 2 cents. Have you undone hoses before and separated the upper left side joystick assembly from the lower section that hoses plug into? I need to fix a leak in there, I’m certain it’s an o-ring and I merely need to undo hoses and separate the two halves of joystick...
