Cat hydraulic pin grabber won't lock

If I had to guess. There is probably fragments in the relay valve. We had the opposite happening on one of our 345’s and the cylinder for the locking jaw was coming apart on the inside

    Big track

I would say just by sight, yes. From my experience, most excavators have grousers on them. Cranes from what I know are smooth

Mini Ex Questions - Volvo EC20B

There are no lube points for the rollers. They are sealed bearing. I grease everything daily except the turn table. That gets about 3-4 pumps a week. I was told that's probably to much

    Alternative oil in Deere 750j

Any name oils will work just fine. I have found recently that cat oil is only about $14.00 a gallon. In gallon jugs. Drums are a little cheaper if you go that way

Here in Michigan they can get as much as $2.00 a lb. I've heard. I feel your pain. But the fact is you where still over. I would barrow a set of scales and figure out exactly where to put it every time

Shoring for a sewer tie in

I use trench boxes regularly, depending on what we are doing depends on how wide of spreaders we use. If we are installing new pipe we will use as narrow of spreaders as possible but still get the bucket in the box. If we are doing a tap ( like you are talking about) or repair we put 8-12 ft...

Looking for advice on new excavator

I don't know about new link belts. I'm not a fan of them and have operated a couple of them. They seem tippie and kinda weak. The 336 we is very strong but it's kinda slow my opinion.

    shortage of workers?

Define worker for me. Lol. We have a bunch of people that show up and collected a check. I think a couple people hint on the head with why work hard when you can get it for free from the government. Or the fact that it's a job for the other people

    CDL confusion question

I don't know how the farm thing factors in. Here in Michigan the class of license you need depends on the total weight of truck and trailer. Here by the sound of it you would only need a class b. But if it was me I would get a class a with air brakes then you know you licensed to drive that...

    Best throttle position?

Run the thing wide open. As for warm up and **** down. I just read an article written by Cat for equipment that states warm up time should and only needs to be about 5 minutes of ideal and for shutting down older equipment 2 minutes and newer only needs about 30 seconds. Shut of at lunch.
