    Sumitomo 145 stalling issue

Hey guys I caught your posts on sumitomo 145 stalling , I have one here in Scotland doing the same, pumps were rebuilt thinking we had worn insides dragging engine down. No luck but it still looks like hydraulics pulling engine down. We have replaced a proportional valve which was faulty (...

Problem with hydraulikk/ electronikk on my Fermac 965/2000mod.

Good morning Petter, The reader may now be a problem to scource, if you have a terex/ferment or ** dealer they may be able to help you with it. They needed it as part of their service toolkit The reader helps by showing the settings of loader arms/steering angle and without it very difficult to...

Problem with hydraulikk/ electronikk on my Fermac 965/2000mod.

Ok Petter, so it beeps 4 times then a pause ....yes? This is a steering fault if that's the sequence of beeping, did your fitter have the plug in reader that links to the computer. You need the reader to check steering etc. Used to be part of MFservice toolkit

Problem with hydraulikk/ electronikk on my Fermac 965/2000mod.

Hello petter, Caught your post about mf965 problems, I used to have an operators manual for this but passed it on to the new owner. Unfortunately the wiring diagrams in the manual didn't help much other than giving a general overview of the system. No diagnostic help or tests for computer etc...

    ** 960 problems

Hey bob, Yeah it wasn't one of their best machines and are well known in the trade here... And mostly left well alone. The 860 series was a good machine here but was a much simpler digger You have my sympathies, the fuel lift pump is in a wonderful place as you say you can't get at it with arms...

    ** 960 problems

Hi bob Sorry I'm sending you on a wild goose chase , the relay in the front dash is for 4wd not 4ws,just thought about it a bit more today and the relay you need is in the side dash behind handbrake . It's the first one nearest the ignition key that should disable 4ws Ok jim

    ** 960 problems

Hello bob, From memory you should find the steering relay on the front dashboard, there's a plastic cover to the left side of steering column held on by two twist screws. The relays and fuses inside were marked up for each function so you should find it there As to workshop manual probably your...

    ** 960 problems

Hi again bob, Yes you can do that if you don't need 4ws, if you have the wiring schematic or operator manual either would show you which relay you can pull out to disconnect, it may be ok with the steering switch set in 2ws but ours sometimes sent the back axle suddenly left or right when our...

    ** 960 problems

Hi bob Not really too bad ,once you understand where everything is in terms of supplying oil etc to the right places. A good machine ruined by electrics! You'll get there!

    ** 960 problems

Hi again bob Ok from the sounds of your description you have a faulty potentiometer in the steering system or the settings are out, I had a discussion with one of masseys line managers at one of the construction shows about axle kingpin wear as the machine ages . Their response was the system...

    ** 960 problems

No problem Bob, Happy to help , even our local dealer couldn't get to the bottom of some of the glitches it had and eventually they left a spare code reader with me so we could reset readers on the front arm and axles. I would imagine you won't have too much wet weather in oz , so that's a...

    ** 960 problems

Ok bob hopefully you can find something obvious with wiring, As I said we did run ours for quite a few years, albeit without the electronics and I can explain how we did this if you get into difficulties with sensing system. I saw you were considering converting front end to manual handle and...

    ** 960 problems

Hey Bob Sounds similar to problems we had, do you have an ** or terex dealer near to you , It seems like you have the usual potentiometer problems with the "readers" on axle pivots and your bucket arm You would need the handheld code reader ** supplied to dealers to plug into the system to check...

    ** 960 problems

No problem One other thing to look for , I don't think your machine will have this but while you are in there check to see if the seat has a lockout switch on the seat turntable. This usually locks out hydraulic functions if the seat wasn't exactly facing forward or rearward, ours went faulty...

    ** 960 problems

Ok bob First have a look on top of kingpins on both axles there will be a round domed cover held on with Allen bolts under these are potentiometers. If yours has grease point to stub /kingpins ( some do and some don't, do ask me why ** did this) Sometimes if they are greased the grease mucks up...
