    Deere 4630 with 6404 engine

No idea on hours, drained coolant to pull intercooler for changing exhaust gaskets. Coolant looks terrible, green. I have suggested replacing with either DCA based, or ELC to keep things in shape. Owner is concerned changing coolants will promote seal failure. I guess I've heard it before...

Has anyone ever fabricated a blade to bolt on to a track loader?

Pretty unlikely on a loader but I suppose.

1985 gmc brigadier speedometer not working

Forget I said anything I guess. I just know that hose water with good coolant worked just fine for us 25 years ago, I know for a fact a bunch of those engines are still running just fine. Now, a new smogger common rail that's tuned to the max might be a different story altogether, but we're...

1985 gmc brigadier speedometer not working

5 minutes isn't going to do much. I'd fill it with the hose, run it until the temp gauge comes off the cold mark, do that a couple times, then do your distilled flush. The last one I'd run it 20 miles, let it cool overnight before draining.

    Another one followed me home.......

I loaded sugarbeets for three seasons for Transsytems. First year we had 450s, and a couple 500-3. Then, they went with all new 500-6. Still my favorite loader of them all.

    Another one followed me home.......

Loading trucks, tree work, anything else where a loader likes to play. Someday hope to get a Faver grapple for it. For now, if I need it for tree work, I have access to a Grabtec grapple bucket. Guy I work with has a 270, I used it a little last season and knew it was a little light for what...

1985 gmc brigadier speedometer not working

Speedo will be cable drive most likely, maybe the drive on the back of the trans is failed, that would be the easy fix. I didn't have much luck keeping speedos working on our old trucks. If the cable is broke, you can get new stuff to fix it. As far as the battery issue, you just put a third...

    Another one followed me home.......

Been looking for about 4-6 months for a loader. I hoped to find one with a 3rd valve, but I guess they aren't too hard to install. I've been watching this one for about 3 months and today made a play for it. 2016 WA320-7. 4800 hours, Q/C, decent tires, tight pins/bushings, not beat up at...

    1989 RD686 with EC-6 350 Fuel issues?

Update on the old Mack. Turned out the first guy doesn't do enough of these pumps on Mack engines, so he didn't have the tooling to hold the cam and torque the nut for the drive hub. Under his suggestion, called Midland Diesel in Fargo and they were more than happy to help. They got it apart...

    Floating pump

Anyone have any experience with these? I'm wondering how they pump 800 gpm with only 5 HP? My 3" pump pulls down when moving 400 gpm. Here is the pump I'm looking at. https://www.agridrain.com/shop/c122/watermaster-floating-pump/p1129/watermaster-floating-pump-package/

    Rebuilding Deere 1810E scraper

It's nothing fancy really. Just a crappy little steel cart I found for $65 on the same sale we got the 304 on, there were two more I should have grabbed. It's just the right dimensions to have the 304 on the bottom, the plasma on the second tier, and the suitcase wherever it works the best...

    Utility Reefer trailer

Some guys do this as well. We like the enclosed trailers because the tanks will last pretty much indefinitely, and the chemical is out of the elements as well. Also, chemical is supposed to be under lock and key, so these make that possible as well.

    Utility Reefer trailer

Which part? That we use semis to haul water to spray, or that we use that much lol.

    Utility Reefer trailer

Can also call it a sprayer tender, it's a farmer term for a van trailer with 3 - 1600 gallon poly tanks connected together, mixing cones, transfer pump and hose reel to haul water and chemical to the sprayer for crops. During spraying season, if you are covering 1000 acres per day, you need...

    Utility Reefer trailer

I was hoping you'd give your opinion. We were a little concerned that the bulging in the side might be structural, but it sounds like that's not the case? It's bulging directly ahead of the tandem slider frame, but everything looks perfect underneath. Floor is in great shape, couldn't find...

    Utility Reefer trailer

Looking at a Utility reefer trailer for a spray trailer. Only one concern, the sides are bulging just a bit inside, and the rivets are pulled on the back corners. Here are a couple pics.

    Which gun

The only regret we have on the 304 was not buying all three on the sale. Got the one for $675 about 5 years ago, the other 2 went cheaper. I'm not a master welder by any means, but it is almost as smooth welding as our Trailblazer. Some guys think you can't weld unless you have a 400...

    Which gun

The majority of our repairs use from 130-175 amps. If we ever find ourselves needing more, we would probably need a bigger power source than our little XMT 304.
