    1991 140G Dash warning lamps

Have not tested alternator, will do that now (edit have 27.5v running). The only schematics I have are in the supplemental book for the AWD, etc. Also have a parts book so trying to decipher the wiring based on parts locations as best I can looking at the parts. It immediately goes back to dim...

    1991 140G Dash warning lamps

Our 1991 140G (72V13881) has a weird issue that half the warning lamps on the dash are on at half brightness. Started this spring and shortly after replacing bad batteries. My first feeling was a bad ground but have messed with as many ground connections as I can find. Have also messed with the...

    Tires for rubber tire excavator

The operator is concerned of that style tire not being aggressive enough in sloppy conditions, maybe something with decent tread in the center for running on the road but aggressive on the edges for traction?

    Tires for rubber tire excavator

Our Liehberr 904 is due for tires again. The original tires lasted about 3 years and the replacements we got locally are about shot with not quite 2 years on them. They are a 10.00-20 size tires and both sets were 16 ply with a standard chevron pattern. Local tire shop can get us a tire like...

98 Freightliner N14 weird throttle issue

Good to know, I'll look into it more. Thank you.

98 Freightliner N14 weird throttle issue

There is a good chance of that. When researching online I see that the engine position sensor and the VSS are both common culprits. The vss is because guys would unplug it to fool the speed governor so they made it if that happens it puts in limp mode. Speedomter still works but not sure if that...

98 Freightliner N14 weird throttle issue

Well, I spoke too soon. The ran it a couple days then it started doing it again. I disconnected the battery again and drove it today and ran good for 15 miles then started doing it again so I suspect it was when I disconnected battery to work on it originally that reset something and the sensor...

98 Freightliner N14 weird throttle issue

The engine position sensor fixed it.

98 Freightliner N14 weird throttle issue

All fluid levels are good. Coolants was a touch low but half gallon but that wasn't it. No codes on the screen or if I flip the diagnostic switch to count check engine flashes. Some readying often points to the Engine Position Sensor as causing limp mode but without a code sometimes. For $38 I...

98 Freightliner N14 weird throttle issue

Our 98 Freightliner with a N14 Cummins came in with unable to get over 1500 rpm periodically. Did some testing and found if I am below 1500 rpm and keep on throttle it drives normal but if you are above 1500 and completely let off throttle then get back on before it falls a little below 1500...

    Oil drum pump/flow meter

Looking to setup a roll around 55 gal drum with either an air or 115v oil pump and flow meter so instead of making multiple trips across shop with oil can I can just roll the drum to the piece of equipment and start filling and meter the amount. Found this kit and seems like a decent price...

Liebherr 904 hydraulic hose end fittings?

Quick google of DIN 24 fitting looks like it. I'll find out for sure when I replace that line. I'd like to get some plugs for those for future work and will probably take these old hose ends and make at least 2 that size.

Liebherr 904 hydraulic hose end fittings?

Have a leaky hose on our Liebherr 904 rubber tire machine and have the new hose ordered (p/n: 10007601) but unhooked one and and its what I think from online image searching a metric 24 degree o-ring fitting but not certain. I ran into another hose on this that was like that an no one local has...

Link Belt 210X4 vs Case CX210D Long reach machines

Looks like we are getting the Link Belt. The Case had a cheaper purchase price but the Link Belt had a better trade value on our current Cat 320BL so about a wash. Link Belt dealer is closer and was willing to match/beat some service and options on the machine plus it will arrive much sooner.

Cat 936F internal front brake leak

The one plate had a tinge of blueing on the edge but overall looked good. The piston plate looked good except that backing ring in that outer seal looked to had almost melted to the sealing surface area in a spot, took a little elbow grease to clean that off.

Cat 936F internal front brake leak

By leaving the top tire on was able to fork lift it on and off pretty easy. Aligning the shaft into the planetary was a little bit of a wiggle but not bad really with an extra hand. The outer seal on both sides was brittle and cracked out.

Link Belt 210X4 vs Case CX210D Long reach machines

Both dealers are offering initial service with the case being a little longer but the link belt dealer offering better rental in case of extended down time if needed. The case is also about 6k cheaper. Just want to make sure they are the same machine and not something like the case being cheaper...

Cat 936F internal front brake leak

Got the job done and was a very straight forward deal. Replaced the both seals and the friction disks (old ones were in the middle of the spec) on both sides of the front end.

Link Belt 210X4 vs Case CX210D Long reach machines

We are in the market for a new long reach machine and have narrowed it down to basically these two machines. From what I understand the Case and Link Belt are essentially the same machines? Is there any reason to pick one over the other if all things are similar on pricing?
