Buying an excavator soon would love your insight.

I got the standard cutter I believe it's 36" It was around $2700 The pictures on there website shows it to have a gear box, but they are direct drive now. Build quality is good. For the price I don't think you can beat them!

Buying an excavator soon would love your insight.

It the 2020 models have the 2nd aux hydraulics! You'll be good to go! I wasn't sure when they were going to have it in production. That would be a game changer for sure. The teck I talked to said it was going to be for higher flow attachments, like mowers and mulching heads.

Buying an excavator soon would love your insight.

That is where having the bells and whistles come in handy. Being able to adjust hyd setting from a touch screen. I looked at Cat Takeuchi and Bobcat but they were close to 10k more for the same size machine. But if I had known about the aux set up, before I had purchased the Yanmar and...

Buying an excavator soon would love your insight.

I have the Yanmar VIO55a I didn't like the zero tail swing at first coming out of a Cat 320 the cab seemed cramped and it like your setting up to high. I have gotten use to the cab and its not to bad. If your used to a full size machine I guess all the mini's are going to take some getting use...

    Rodents

Thanks for all of the replies and suggestions. I ordered some of the (walk the plank) style 5gal bucket traps off Amazon. Going to see how they work. And going to try the peppermint oil stuff for in the cabs. Seems like the best thing is the tomcat poison. I'll let you know how the bucket...

    Rodents

It's that time of year again, to start the on going fight. On how to keep the rodents out of our equipment. Does anyone have any ideas or things that work for you, on getting rid of these little buggers. I biggest problem is mice! Each year I put out mice poison. I'm sure it helps but I still...

    Deere 325g Steering controls.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I will just have to get use to it like it is. It would be nice if all one lever travel controls worked the same.

    Deere 325g Steering controls.

Picked up a John Deere 325g CTL this week and the steering controls seem backwards to me in reverse. I am used to the controls on my D3G dozer. Is there any way I can change them? Could a dealer do a calibration and switch it?

    D3G XL trans problem

I finally got a chance to take it by the dealer and had them calibrate it. The calibration fixed it. Thank you Nige for the help!

    D3G XL trans problem

Yes I did just buy the tractor. I am familiar with the operations of it. The variable speed works just as it should, when it gets to full throttle. It is doing the same thing as the gentlemen described in first post. Does calibration have to be done by a cat dealer? I called them today and it...

    D3G XL trans problem

Ok cleared out the codes, and now all I get is the 222 code. Meaning no active codes right? Is it necessary to place the plug back on the test point to check for more codes?

    D3G XL trans problem

After reading through this post again, I see where I need to clear all of the code I can. I will clear out what I can in the morning. And post what I find. Do I need to run it after I clear the codes or just start it up? To see what comes back.

    Pressure Test set up

Thanks Junkyard I didn't think about having to check a couple at the same time. I guess with me being a small operation, it will be best to go ahead and have the dealer look at it.

    Pressure Test set up

Or an affordable aftermarket kit. I'm sure it will require several different pressure reading gauges.

    Pressure Test set up

Can someone tell me what size and style quick coupler I need to do diagnostic test on a D3G cat machine? For the service ports on hyd system.

    D3G LGP?

Thank you all for the information! I have been doing custom farm work for several years with a Cat 320 hoe and D5N, had a D7H also but customers in my area didn't want to pay for the hourly pay on the 7 so it didn't get run all that much. In the last few years, most all the farmers have bought...
