If you can't shift stay out of the truck. Imho Good luck getting your foot in the door in this industry if you can only drive an automatic. Brand new trailer with hot hubs
I ran into that pulling a brand new 8 wheel stacker to a clients gravel pit this winter. One hub I couldn't touch for more than 2 seconds. Outside temp was @ 0°F. & stacker hadn't moved in dealers yard in over a year. I carry an infared thermometer now. 150° is a safe number. Keeping in... -

Yup. Resealed the 2 halves with 'great stuff' silicone + new gasket. No leaks. Been going strong since march with no issues. Knock on wood. Any hydraulics? If not it could be a drive chain issue driving 2 pumps. T into external Trans pump and check presures. (or was that 2nd pump just...- gkenworth

Differences between a CAT D6 and a D7
Tracks should sag a bit. Guesssing between .75- 1.5" sag If there overtightened, they can be hard on the idler bearings. Too much sag is a good way to spin out of a track -

wheel shakes after bumps?????
I had an L9000 do that to me a lifetime ago. It was a broken center bolt in the left spring. It had a 6v53 Jimmy, and leaked so much oil on the front end, no one noticed the axle sliding for & aft. Especially when I went over some rough railroad tracks or washboard. -
On board scales.
We installed an 'air weigh' scale on one of our KW T800's. Steering axle works off a load cell. Not terribly accurate. Needs to be recalibrated regularly. Not uncommon to read 1000 lb light.
