Case 1845C Brake Pin Won't Engage

I recently completed an O/H of a mid 90's 1840 which I believe uses same concept of brake pins. Had a similar problem on left side and found the internal bracket broken off and distorted. Had to remove tube and bracket, straightened things out same as other side and re-welded. see pics...

    1845c Quick Tach.

Good luck with that job. I recently overhauled my 93 1840 and had a similar problem. Pins would not budge, even with a considerable amount of heat. Solution was to use narrow cut off blade on angle grinder and cut off pin between frame and cylinder. Make sure you protect the cylinder rod to...

Case 1840 Hydraulic Temp switch location

I can't find the Hydraulic Temp switch. I've had this thing apart for the rebuild but just can't seem to locate where this temp switch can be. Due to the state of the wiring, I am rewiring this thing from scratch. Don't know why this picture comes out sideways either !

case 1840 loader problems after blowing a hose

I came to the same conclusion. I am fortunate to have a hydraulic shop within a 10 minute drive. It cost me less than $200 to replace all the auxiliary sytem hoses. Compared to the cost of replacing all the rest of the hoses which I already did, I decided to keep the system just in case. I...
