    Komatsu PC 8000

I have to agree with you, ive spend a couple years on both 375's and a 1100 and they 375 was slower by far not just in comparion as far a tonnes per cycle, but cycle times in general. Although i ran a newly rebuilt 375 in arkansas that would out cycle a 330c 4 to 3.:usa

    more pics of equipment stuck!

here you go :usaNot all operators are qualified to work in silt pond. _Back story is pretty much the operator was being pushed to with a 6lgp and then when the dozer hand went to lunch, the hoe operator tried to back fill the hole he dug:beatsme and go dig further out in the silt. As we can see...

    Cat 330 & 7 foot bucket

Heck O'bucket :usa You would be very surprised how under rated the specs are for excavators now a days. Although i guess it depends on the type of work you are doing. I couldn't imagine a wider bucket, although i've seen some pretty deep ones that more that double the specs on the machine...

    CAT 350L Photos from *March 1, 2008*

:usa i've run two of them, one of which ran very well and yes they will burry a 345, but i mostly was working on unlevel terrain and had to pull my self up anything above 10%. The other was a nightmare, it was always one thing after another, it had very little power even after a service and it...

    CAT 350L Photos from *March 1, 2008*

These are great machines unless you have to track, dig, or work on any unlevel terain. I've ran a few and never one i would want to run again.:usa

    330B and 330C OWNERS/OPERATORS !

less than 1000 hrs. I worked for a contractor in an agg. land fill and we had a boom split right above pin that connects the boom to the frame. I think it might have had 600 hrs, although he was running pulverizers on then exclusively so the extra added weight and the constant up and down...

We have all done this before right?

I've had the pleasure of doing doing both across and with the trench with a 330b with a sloppy oversized bucket. The trench averaged out at about 8 to 10 foot so not to much to worry about. I'll see if i can come up with some pictures. As for steep i've done some rip rap work on less than a 2/1...

What sort off machine do you operate?

just maybe :usa Maybe our 5130 lasted about 460 hrs on the rebuilt motor, before the next major issue. The 5000 series cat's are a pain in the butt as best. I am a cat man to the bone but good luck with your shovel, ours leaks more oils than its worth. Maybe one day they will have cat...

Why was CAT's 5000 Series discontinued?

ripped track body I 100% agree, i worked for a southern california contactor with a 5130 where the turn table ripped, not cracked ripped. That machine never ran for more than 2 weeks without a break down of 1 full day or more, and about 2 months between major break downs, i think our...

Our new exavator : Hitachi EX1200

Great looking hoe there, although i've run 1100's and i havent noticed many differences between 11 and 1200's. Do you know of any other than the longer boom. Why such as small bucket, ive never worked around water but i assume that's why, or maybe its bigger than it seems. Good luck with that...

    Grading Blade for excavator

I once ran an 1100 with a d10n cutting edge welded over the teeth, it came from a sand job and put on our reclaimation job. Needless to say in the rock it lasted like 2 days. not a good idea for our job. I do like the chain idea, it seems more practicle for multiple jobs.

once again more pics of hoes Volvo 700B

Has anyone run the larger volvo excavators, i've only run cat and hitatchi and i was wondering how they compare in price and in production. I believe the company i work for rented one and liked it but i've never been on one myself.

    Who's trained.....

The contractor i work for rotates out the current staff every year. Since we are certified for 2 years in first response, we do a once a year class. Atleast all the super's and most of our operators that have and will be around for awhile have all been certified. I think it is a great idea, i...

    my new night ride

Nice Ex :usa What i would give for a new 385, although im runninga very nice 375 with a 9cy so i know about the too big issue. Cant heap it like i would like but you get a feel for what your hoe will handle. Once you get the hang of it you'll never want to go back. I know, they threw a 4.5...

What sort off machine do you operate?

Loading Trucks I mostly load trucks, from Volvo A-35's with a 375 to 773's with a 5130 or 1100. Most of my work consist overburden removal, and reclaimation work. :usa The 1100 i've run i dont have any pics of, here are ther rest.:usa

Good way to flip an excavator

:PointheadThis is why employers should check out employment history. Probly some kid my age fresh out of a 5 week crash course or as they call them in california "operator schools". Told the boss they've been doing it for years. The sad thing is these guys are everywhere and people hire them.:usa
