Case 1150E Low Power
Try rigging up a makeshift fuel tank ie a 25 litre drum and put the fuel line in that if it works ok then its a blockage in the fuel line from tank. -

After looking at a few dozers (Cat/Liebherr and Komatsu) i have now purchased a Komatsu D41E-3 1991 and must say its in very good condition for a 1991.Tracks are about 85/90% with some new links in the chains these replaced the ones that had seized up through standing a PAT blade 3 shank ripper... -

liebherr 731c 1987 bulldozer.
Going to look at a liebherr pr 731c 1987 bulldozer and wondered if anyone knew anything about these. The guy says that on cylinder has a head gasket gone so its mixing oil & water or it could be a cylinder liner cracked if its the later can the liner be done in the machine or is it an engine out... -

starter motor D4D Dozer
picked up the starter yesterday they had to put a new armature in it as well,it had bent the shaft just a little but so that the pinion would not slide on it so new armature plus pinion plus a few other bits cost £120 not bad i thought. Fitted it today bled the fuel through as TC said and back... -

Hi TC Thanks for the info i tried it with the primer pump that's on the pump with the bleed valve open on the filter housing but would not come through, i will try it the way you suggest next time after i have fitted the starter back on and hopefully it will be back working. -

Hi update on starter took it to my local starter repair shop today and its not as difficult as i thought to get it fixed just needs a new pinion and a few other bits as the actual starter is good so will pick it up tomorrow. I can not find any of the broken pieces i can only think that it... -

Hi Tony the trans is power shift, i took the plug out of the bottom of the casing and could not find anything also had a magnetic telescopic thingy inside where the starter fits and in the plug hole but could not find anything. Would you be prepared to sell me your starter and have mine so you... -

Hi Just had the starter motor go bang ,when i took it off the dog on the end had gone missing that's what the big bang was as it destroyed itself . The starter still turns over and would work if it had the dog on it so my question is how many teeth dose the dog have on it and does any other... -

Update on whats happening,i have been down to dozer today and put new (main) trans filter (already cleaned screen filter) in it with fresh oil also jet washed the rad out as it was being used for pushing around 120 ton wood chip about.I then worked it for 1 1/2 hours pushing/leveling dirt around... -

Any likely places for it to suck air from or is it needle in a haystack job to find it don't know if it is that yet but nice to know before hand what to look for. Should the oil on the dipstick when checked while its doing this stop starting thing be like as though you have just checked it...
