    Cat "K" Series hands down i love the ability to change the blade speed based on application, the balance and visibility is excellent! integrated accugrade controls the new D6K is going to have a cross slope built in!

    the first guy i worked for bought a 379 tractor and did the same thing. then he built a gantry and would lift the dump body off and put the 5th wheel back on and move his excavators on his 35 ton lowboy. took about 45 mins with 2 guys to switch everything out

    i have a Cat Ultrasonic Wear Indicator Set #168-7720 to measure u/c wear. Not sure what its worth but ive been thinking of selling it. Its nice be it can measure the thickness of any metal, even blade thickness. I have some cat u/c books as well that give you the % of wear.

    I think the next truck i get ill put the pump on the drivers side still on the fence about it but it would be nice not having to look at it. I had to put the pump on my cousins truck on the drivers side it wouldnt fit very well on the pass side with the rack. If you keep an eye on craigslist...

    There are 4 wires one for each switch, they all have different amp ratings which are all fused. The 4 wires are the hot ones just have to find a ground

    Ive been trying to figure out a way that i could have a tank and toolbox and still have enough room for a 5th wheel or gooseneck in a short bed truck. i know that i could get a tank/toolbox combo but i think they might be too long to put a hitch in.
