    Usually cone will find an orginal part off the bore, ,which good tigthen the cones into place with some from of clamp and jack system on the bar. Check the measurements with the less damged bores and as low your with 1/2mm or so thats pretty much it. As the machine will have more slop and play...

    Bore weld a cast excavator boom end

    What machine manufacture. Ex probably Hitachi. Do a few of the of them over the year just weld it with A18 1.00mm wire argon/co2 mix of gas will give low hydrogen wld deposit. They are just a cast steel and weld prefectly fine. Renew the float colar and should be all fine once bored.

    Practice and practice, and on thick stuff, to get technique and use the same settings that you you use on the flat and you will be surprised how it turns.

    About as much use as tits on a frog. Wouldn't trust him to put battery in torch. I stand about as much chance of growing fanny than that ever happening. Now i know what a monkeys fu*king a football looks like. Like a pig handling musket.

    Five tine grab

    Just wondering if anyone got experience of welding new tips onto a 5 tine scrap grab. Tips are manganese cast would dis-similar electrodes, of would I need look for something closer to the manganese-based material that I'm looking for weld. Any advise welcome.

    Currently got an elsa boring unit which works OK not happy with electronic/electric side bit unreliable, but that another stroy. Can you get the axial feed gearbox system that climax use on it's own to buy. As you seem own made systems and manufacturers, but there gearbox seems easy to install...

    Airarc, my new favorite tool

    Used plasma gouging a while back, no where near as effective as carbon arc gouging. Only truoble is have a big enough air supply. As can't seem to smaller carbon arc hand pieces over here in the UK.

    Mobile chip and pin readers

    Dose any of the members use any of the mobile chip and pin readers to process their payments form a clinets or customers. As been asked by one or two as they offered pay straight away if i could take a card. And just wondered if it would be agood move.
