    Spicer 5+4 Trans Set Up / 13 or 18 speed swap?

    It was a big job. I ripped all the wiring out of the cab and did all new. Drew my hole dash out on a 4’by8’ pice of ply wood and started running wires and plugged into motor. I’ve done engine swaps on off highway logging trucks and it’s fairly easy to do the wiring tie into a old truck

    I just put a 3406E model in my 67 Hayes. I put a 18 speed behind it with the original 4 speed(can’t think off hand what the number is). We pull are lowbed with it. It’s nice when in the bush we put the A box in second and in the highway we put it in 3rd still haven’t gotten a long enough...

    It is a big job to remove all the bolts but I would be inclined to change the gasket and clean both surfaces.     I used a glow plug controller out of a 90s ford 7.3 when I put a 5.9 cummins in my 1955 M35 6x6. But the 5.9 starts so good and running 2 battery's iv never needed the intake heater.
