    Traction lock wont disengage??

The silver lining is that I can solder upside down in a cramped space with my glasses falling off and do a beautiful job of it after doing about 40 of them on this machine.

    Traction lock wont disengage??

Where is the traction lock on a tracked machine? I tried to find it but couldn't so far.

    Traction lock wont disengage??

Thanks - I didn't know that. Might have to get a spring pull switch on it or something. Hopefully I don't have to do all this but the mice and rats are terrible there and love wires!

    Traction lock wont disengage??

One relay operated by the seat bar powering my switch panel and my DC step down power supply - might work.

    Traction lock wont disengage??

Everything powered down with the seat bar up should be easy.

    Traction lock wont disengage??

I said id put a switch on the loader controls for getting in and out or keep the switch on the seat bar because I know about that human mouse trap too! Thanks for pointing it out though because that would be super dangerous!

    Traction lock wont disengage??

I can keep the seat bar switch if it makes everyone here feel safer. I've operated a Bobcat enough to know I don't want to tumble out the front as it goes over!

    Traction lock wont disengage??

I use the seat bar already and don't need the computer to enforce it. Those adjustable DC step down units cheap on amazon are PMW aren't they? The bobcat is in a shed so I'm thinking about building a wire enclosure but the door would be difficult to make mouse proof. My dad payed a fortune...

Bobcat 863 c series auxiliary hydraulics

The mice have been chewing through my wires on my bobcat. You might look for any evidence of that. Also mine has a button for High Flow, Variable, and regular and certain things don't work unless you push the right one.

320 JD skidsteer hyd lock up issues with code F9H9

I'm looking at putting a manual switch on the lockup solenoid. There is a pull circuit and a hold circuit probably and 3 wires if so. Pull will be low resistance and high amperage and hold will be high resistance and low amps. I'm guessing a switch and a start button would work. Put the hold...

    Traction lock wont disengage??

I inherited this low hour Bobcat 864. The rats and mice have been chewing the wires off. I have soldered about 40 wires back together and got it all working. Then I have to leave where it is for a week or two and when I get back it has wiring problems. I have done everything I can think of to...

Bobcat 863 f series no bics lights locked machine

Can the pull coils be run with a resistor? I guess I could put a power supply on them and see how low a voltage they will still hold without getting hot.

    Traction lock wont disengage??

I read that the BICS system uses low voltage for the hold coils 4-6 volts. I'd really like to get rid of the BICS computer all together and have all solenoids on toggle switches and warning lights for temps and pressures.

Traction Lock stuck on and Other Electrical Issues

Hi Holden - did you resolve the issue? I'm tempted to put a switch on every solenoid and get rid of the whole BICS system.

    Traction lock wont disengage??

I know this is an old thread but I want to have a manual unlock set up for the brake solenoid. So I need a switch for hold and a push button starter swich for pull? Can I have this with the BICS without screwing up the BICS controller? IE sending power backwards to the BICS when BICS isn't...

Help me stay alive building road with TD-18

That Detroit isn't mine. It sure is heavy for that truck, but it's just his rat-rod I guess. My Suzuki is an LJ20 2cyl 360cc water cooled model made in '72. There was an LJ10 air cooled version before this model. They were sold in the USA in '71-'72 era.

    D7 17A overheating

Sounds like something didn't seal all the way. Maybe a small crack somewhere? Can hurt to try you favorite stop leak. I have similar problems on my TD-18 but the stop leak seems to work.

Help me stay alive building road with TD-18

This last week I got a new tool to help me out with the road work! 1961 Austin western Grader with a 4-71 for $2500. It was a heavy load on the way home. The NTCC 350 Cummins was slow with this load. I'm glad I had hooked up the Jake brakes!
