    cost to move

    ive noticed, that h.e. equipment will linger at a site long after its need! im assuming it is because the cost of moving it to anything but a new job is an expense that the g.c. dosnt want to spend! that makes sense to me! but is that the reason i see equipment lay still for months at a time...

    ive read here in hef about the difficulty of obtaining the huge tires used on the end loaders and scrapers, not to mention the price! can anyone recap those monsters? or is there to much torque applied to such a big tire that, that the bond just wouldnt hold?

    i've seen so many pics of scrapers buried in mud! sometimes with one or two push cats behind them!can someone tell me why you would run your scraper into loose, wet ,mud, with dozers pushing you ?and the dozer crowd keep going at it?

    clutch or no clutch

    please help me here! ive been told that trucks above the one ton state, use the clutch only for take off, then you just feel your way through the gears ,with out clutching? ive done that with cars and dirt bikes, and was told that it was damaging to do so!
