Would anyone know what a 1991 Athey mobile M8 street sweeper would have for a rear diesel engine. It is an Isuzu 4 cylinder and has a zexel injector pump. I can't see any nameplates on it and was hoping to find out horse power and torque specs as I would like to use it to repower some other...

    Deutz 912 diesel information

So with that in mind...logic says then that the motor that says 56hp@1800rpm on the engine plate would then be 65hp@2300rpm as speced on the original equipment engine. So with that thinking all internal and external parts should be the same..

    Deutz 912 diesel information

Not sure but I just had a thought .... Is it maby because the donor is in a generator and speced to run at 1800 rpm and the equipment I believe is speced at 2300 rpm? Would the difference in HP be on the curve?

    Deutz 912 diesel information

I am looking to repower some equipment that is gas but also came with the deutz 912 engine in it. The equipment has the hp as 65 horse. While looking for a donor I have found a generator with the same model deutz but it is rated at 58 horsepower. What would the differences be? Can it be...

Gallion 503G ------ Some assembly required

Update. Well Its been a while. The street sweeper was sold before i could pick it up. Dam! Kijiji and FCFS pickups. So Ive been hunting for other possible choices. Everything Ive found in Gensets and air compressors either went for the moon or was an SAE 3. However Ive stumbled upon an...

Gallion 503G ------ Some assembly required

DB2 thank you for looking at that. A couple of questions for you as it sounds like you know street sweepers well. 1. How heavy are they? Could I haul one back on a tandem dually gooseneck (2 x 10,000lbs axles) with a f450? Plates and insurance is off the T800 till frost is out of the...

Gallion 503G ------ Some assembly required

So according to your measurements I think I would have to call it a SAE 3. It also looks like I would need to get a different flywheel to accept a pressure plate. and find a way to go from SAE 3 to SAE 4 still. Either by an adapter plate or by changing the bellhousing on the deere if it is...

Gallion 503G ------ Some assembly required

The oilpan is a front sump and it already has the hydraulics running off the crank on the front of the motor currently. It still has the shaft in the tranny though but didnt seem to connect to anything engine side. Love the nickle idea. However trying to get a usa 2021 nickle up in canada...

Gallion 503G ------ Some assembly required

So. After a day of calling around, I've turned up a possible deere. In a pelican street sweeper. Thinks its a 4039T. Wants $4000.00 Cad. Its a 4.5 hr drive away (got to take the whole sweeper so i would have all accessories) And has no idea on what sae bolt pattern it is. If the deere is...

Gallion 503G ------ Some assembly required

So would this save a lot of work or would I still have to build a lot of adapters and spacers to make the clutch work? I think the way it was there wasn't even a pilot bearing being used It looked like the last install was about 9.5 to 10" of space between the sae3 on the 4-53 and the sae4 on...

Gallion 503G ------ Some assembly required

I have no idea what it had in it originally. Grader is SN 5131 This is the spacer someone had between the tranny and the block And apparently this is what they built to bolt onto the 4-53 flywheel and extend the clutch out. hydraulic pump appears to be driven of the crank of the motor at...

Gallion 503G ------ Some assembly required

So, I have a new project to work on soon. Picked up a Gallion 503G grader, and a pile of parts that a mechanic said came out from between the engine and transmission. Have yet to bring it home Apparently it has been re-powered at some point in time to a 4-53 and the engine didnt line up...
