    Hayes trucks in the logging industry

    Notice the floor in these early Hayes models, the sheet metal floor was coated with lead under the metal to stop vibration, and the top of the floor was cut ribbed oak boards as the drivers often wore cork boots, pedals often had bits of conveyer bolted on.
