    Western Star Log Trucks

    Usually preferred log lengths in the western Washington/Oregon is either 40' or 32' (with a foot of trim). I believe these are 40's. He can do 35.5 tons net with 40' logs with this setup in Washington.

    Any word on how the one in BC is working out? I imagine they would have a hard time here in the PNW because of all the Old Growth Stumps. Would take some serious balls to run it on 100% slopes. Glad to see some new ideas in the forestry industry.

    The ground down lower was disturbed because they grabbed what they could with ground based equipment (grapple cat and shovel). They will work radially around from the point the tower is at, moving their tail holds and rotating the tower to keep in lead.
