Trailer brakes not releasing on my 20-ton tag

You keep bring the same **** up, but there is no mention of a CARD. All of it falls under CFR49, and the second part you are referencing is 396.17 and 396.19. Yes, there are record requirements under 396.19, but, you only get into 396.19 if a carrier chooses inspections under 396.17(e)...

Takeuchi TB235-2 Mini Excavator Movement Beeper

These things fail, I would think it would be fairly easy to find the location on the parts diagram or in the service manual.

Can you not locate the beeper?

    Cool. What agency issued it?

Trailer brakes not releasing on my 20-ton tag

Thanks for posting the link for others. There is no such thing as a CARD. There is no card that needs to be carried or produced. There is no certifying agency for issuing a card. The word "card" does not appear in that section. If you worked somewhere that issued a card, that is fine, but...

    Multimeter recommendation

Agree, I was checking resistance and actually ended up doing what you are saying, but I thought it was the meter. Never imagined that the leads could go bad. Now I know.

Trailer brakes not releasing on my 20-ton tag

Nothing mention in the reference as being a "card." Just having a record that a mechanic has been trained. However, the last sentence in subpart (e) of 396.25 says those records aren't required for a driver that has passed the Air Brake portion of knowledge and skills test for their CDL. In...

    RENO/SPARKS,NV -Need lessons-downshift an Eaton8LL, MackRD690P EM7 w/MarmonHerrington AWD *will trade construction services(anything you got)/or Cash$

Pick a shift RPM for every upshift that works on your truck. For my 10 speed, 1500 is a nice comfortable spot to upshift. Now, when downshifting, I know that I need to get the RPM above 1500 to downshift. That's the way I teach new drivers too and they get it figured out real quick. The...

    Pintle hitch modifications

My last two trucks came with 50 ton hitches. Overkill, but never have to worry. First was air, I liked it. Second is swivel. I like it better for off road use. Can't hear it banging around as there really isn't a lot of slop.

    Multimeter recommendation

I had a meter that was giving real screwy readings. Figured it was junk. Got a new one and then someone mentioned the leads. Sure enough, a new set of leads and the first meter is good as new.

    Yanmar vs kubota

Dealer is probably more important. If you already have a good relationship with the Yanmar dealer, I'd stay put.

Takeuchi TB235-2 Mini Excavator Movement Beeper

If you want a movement warning device, but can't stand the obnoxious beeper, get a broadband, also called white noise, alarm: https://sirennet.com/bbs-tek-87db-broadband-backup-alarm.html I put one on my dump truck. The beeper was so obnoxious. This thing leaves no doubt that the truck is...

What am I missing on truck pricing?

Not quite that long. My new Western Star was about 10 months. New tractors are starting to populate the lots and stock dump trucks are showing up too.

Looking for Dayton 15" Split ring Wheels...

I replaced the locking ring wheels with these: https://buytruckwheels.com/collections/steel/products/17-5x6-75-import-steel-2 The 17.5" fits on the 15" spokes and you get a much better choice in tires. You also get away from issues with a lock ring coming loose. Most tire shops won't work on...

No, it doesn't, not even close.

    Overload of the Day

Not sure what trailer and truck that guy had, but my F450 with 15 ton goose neck would be right at the limit for 22K load. However, getting the pin light enough to not exceed the RAWR is tricky. Point is, that truck may not be WAY over if it even is. My F450 has a GCWR of a bit over 42K...

what is the best starting fluid aid for an old diesel that has been setting years?

Equipment used to come with ether installed on a lot of equipment for a starting aid. Once they developed glow plugs, ether was removed. Invariably, the can was empty when you needed it.

    Pin-on Bucket Mounting Specs

Easy solution is a multi-level sort of the Excel data. I'd sort on Pin Diameter, then Pin Centers, then Bucket Width.
