    Cat 305CR swing motor brake

My Cat 305CR stopped working. I knew it was the rubber coupling between the engine flywheel and hydraulic pump had let go. We did not drain the hydraulic tank but simply unbolted the pump from flywheel and let hang on the hoses Biggest problem was the counterweight on the rear had to come off...

    Cat 305CR Stopping

My 02 Cat 305CR engine quits when machine bumps hard. Seems it has to do with some kind of relay below left hand control under seat. If I throw a chain next to seat engine stops, if I rap the seat frame by hour meter it stops. Black square relay looking box that seems effected. Parts manual...

    Cat 305 CR Retread

I removed them and resealed the pistons with new o rings. One side the previous owner had the idler upside down. And yes it was a rental machine in its younger days, but I bought it right I think.

    Cat 305 CR Retread

I used NAPA commercial coating paint. I mix my own recipe. Sixteen 16 ounces of MH 101 acrylic hardener to one 1 gallon paint, then reduce with about 10-15% NAPA PCR10 reducer. Usually shoot with a HF 2 quart pressure pot gun set at 8-10 psi pot pressure and 40 to 60 psi air pressure at the gun.

    Cat 305 CR Retread

Cat 305 CR Retread I bought this Cat 305CR recently and it needed new tracks. I used Prowler tracks found on ebay. They seem high quality, time will tell. Painted the undercarriage before putting new tracks on. http://www.prowlertracks.com/index.htm

    Replacement Rubber Tracks

Just bought a set of tracks for my Cat 305CR. Haven't put them on yet because I need to paint the undercarriage first. They look like a decent set of tracks, well made I'm guessing Korean as the salesman said none are made in the US.

Digging right next to power pole

Yes its their job but you will pay. Had a sewer line going in next to a power pole that belongs to FPL utilities. I had to pay upfront the sum of $2200 for one truck, two men one day minimum to hold the pole while we dug in the sewer line next to it.
