Volvo Skid Steer Drain Plug Location

Thanks! I found it. I power washed the area inside the inspection plate and was able to see the knurled cap You described. I agree it is ridiculously placed. I had to stick my arm into the very tight area almost to my elbow to gain access to it. In addition, I was unable to access the oil...

Volvo Skid Steer Drain Plug Location

Thanks, I saw the two previous posts you referenced before I started this thread. I have the inspection plate off. I don’t see anything that looks remotely like a port to attach the drain hose to. More detail will be very helpful. Thanks again!

Volvo Skid Steer Drain Plug Location

I have a Volvo MC 115 Skid Steer and can't locate the oil drain plug. I have opened up the inspection plate on the left side wheel well. I have found a plugged rubber drain tube for coolant draining. I have the required tube and fitting needed to open the drain valve. I have cleaned out the...

    650J Emergency Brake

I don’t recall the code number, but it indicated a fault with the emergency brake solenoid or harness. This is confusing because of the intermittent and short duration of the problem. I am out of town now and don’t have access to the machine. I will confirm the exact code tomorrow.

    650J Emergency Brake

My 650J emergency brake has unexpectedly locked on two occasions without my engaging the lever. After turning the engine off for a few minutes and restarting the dozer, the brake will release. Has anyone experienced this? If so how did you fix it?

    Blade Tilt Hose Replacement 650J

I have to replace both hoses on the blade tilt actuator on a Deere 650J. The hoses disappear under the radiator and reappear at the valve under the joy stick. Can anyone tell me: 1) How do you feed the hoses to their locations? Are there access doors to help? 2) which positions on the valve tilt...

    P3 Hydraulic fitting

Lantraxco, I have a final question. Do you know if there is a safe way to check for leaks on the Volvo skid steer with the cab in the raised position. The fitting I replaced is in the reverse port, so the machine will move if cycled. Up to this point I have been putting the cab in the down...

    P3 Hydraulic fitting

Lantraxco, Thanks so much for your help. I ordered the fitting from Volvo. I don't fully understand the way the fitting works. So you push the hose into the fitting, then pull it out to seal it. Does it snap into place or is there sone sort of indication that you have a seal?

    P3 Hydraulic fitting

Thanks Lantraxco, this thing has two male fittings (one on each end) that both have to be screwed in. I suppose a swivel will be needed to allow for screwing the second fitting in. Do you know another way to do this with a new hose?

    Good idea DIYDAVE. Here are two pictures. First the fitting, second the area it came from on the transmission;

    P3 Hydraulic fitting

I have to replace a broken hydraulic fitting on a transmission pump from a Volvo MC115 skid steer. the only marking on the fitting is P3. None of the Volvo documentation mentions hydraulic fittings. Does anyone now if this can be bought from stock at a local supply house, or do I have to go to...

Can't bleed fuel after fuel filter change

The rear filter is the first filter after the tank (primary) the front filter at the engine the final or secondary filter. The manual says to change the front (secondary) filter first. I did the whole process by the book.

Can't bleed fuel after fuel filter change

The dozer is running fine. I ran it 9 hours today. I will try your method on my next filter change. Thanks.

Can't bleed fuel after fuel filter change

HDM Rice, I tried that but I couldn't get fuel to flow after a few strokes. The front filter filled right up. But I believe I let too much fuel out of the line between the primary and secondary filters. The rear filter would never bleed fuel from the port. It seems like Delmer is right when he...

    CAT or DEERE

In my opinion you will be good with either of Cat or Deere. (full disclosure; I operate Deere and Volvo equipment)

Can't bleed fuel after fuel filter change

I believe the best improvement I can make is to have my new rear filter filled with fuel and ready to go prior to removing the old rear filter. this will minimize the fuel loss in the line between the two filters which is where my problem was. Thanks again for all of your help and interest. This...

Can't bleed fuel after fuel filter change

The prime was lost between the two filters. This is how it was fixed. Three guys went to work. One pumping the mechanical filter. One cranking the engine at full throttle. One spraying short bursts of starter fluid in the air intake. After a few cranks it fired up . We kept spraying short bursts...

Can't bleed fuel after fuel filter change

After sitting overnight, the lever pumped 11 times before it felt like no fuel was being pumped. Fuel still did not come out the bleed port.
