I might steal your clamp idea...if its alright with you. Mailing the cardboard to steel supplier is a fine idea....I'm guessing they don't mail the steel back to you lol?

Very nice work! I assume you made the clamps from C clamps so you could weld them on? Did you have the steel rolled and if so, what do you use for a template?

Leaky oil line. What is it?

I should add that since a T200 is oil cooled, oil is also the source of heat in the cab. So the line you see going into the HVAC system is the oil line that goes into your heater core. The valve simply controls the amount of oil going into the heater core so you can control cab temps.

Leaky oil line. What is it?

The valve controls the amount of oil going into your HVAC system. The valve is controlled by the "hot/cold" knob in the cab

    MT-55 Bobcat speed

I have a MT-55 and it runs great but I wish it had a faster travel speed. I have a platform on it so I don't walk behind it. Does anyone know if it is possible to speed the thing up?

    cordless tools

I have been gravitating towards Milwaukee tools recently but I have some Bosch tools too. I really think Milwaukee has more cordless tools for mechanics than other companies. I like their grease gun (I am eyeing up the newer 18 volt version but my 12v will have to work for now). I recently...

    More Work Pictures

The paint job looks good. I have used lots of martin senior paint myself. I painted my camaro with it and it looks better than any factory paint job I've seen. Is the customer you are painting the dozer for planning on keeping it or selling it? I like a shinny piece of equipment as much as...

    Gehl AL Line

Mr. lumberjack, Wouldn't it be wise to have a machine with a full cab when doing tree work (especially in the woods)? I used to do some logging and I have seen what can fall from the sky...it could for sure kill a man.

Tom, I assume that the smaller triangle pieces were used as gussets going from the lower part of the hitch back up to the frame? Looks like the whole truck is getting the frame painted. Looks real good. Your fab skills are top notch.

    The Ultimate Construction Skid Steer/CTL

I come on here and try to help the OP with his question and then have to deal comments like this. All I said was build a reliable machine and you and another guy have to ruin this thread with mindless drivel. Please get back to the topic

    The Ultimate Construction Skid Steer/CTL

don't be stupid...I guess I have to spell it out for you word for word. I am saying build a machine that would be reliable with less maintenance:Banghead. And learn how to use the quote button when you quote someone.

    The Ultimate Construction Skid Steer/CTL

The ultimate construction/demolition skid would be one that does not break down. It seems that most of the skids I see in the construction/demo area are not well maintained so it would make sense to build a machine that will be reliable.

Surface mining gear repairs in the Pilbara WA

very interesting. Those machines look and work much like the roto mills that take up old asphalt on roads. Its hard to imagine the costs involved in that mining process...no wonder steel is so expensive.

Tom, Did you drop a stack of dimes on that thumb you repaired? Those are some pretty welds. I also wish I had that magnetic drill press....plus all your other tools...all very impressive and thanks for sharing. on a side note about wishing for stuff: My dad always told me I could wish in...

What skid steer model has made the biggest impact on your business?

A small MT55 (mini skid) changed my world. I use it 3 times more than my T200. MT55 is By far the best piece of equipment I have bought.
