Edgephoto - Nice work as always, maybe try an electric transfer pump to fill the axle and differential. HTH's Respectfully ~ Orangeman

Need parts for 1969 Dynahoe Backhoe model 140 This time U Joint the whole unit

The U joints are likely a truck driveline part that was available at the time the Dynahoe was built so am recommending looking at 69/70 truck axle and driveline parts listings. There are a number of good truck parts places throughout the country - Fleetpride is one and so is Cook Brothers...

I know this is a 2018 thread and hope by now you have sold your Ujoint problem. If not you might want to try Fleetpride in AZ. ~ Orangeman

    The Ultimate Small Dozer

Always was fond of the Allis Chalmers H4-HD4 then 652 and 653 dozers. Would have liked to see those AC designs with updates to 2024 with a wet back end, cabs with AC and Heat and production of parts and tooling here in the U.S. OEM tracks for the units mentioned was done in Springfield...

Trying to figure out what this Track loader is it has a partial Allis Charmers sticker on back side tank, powered by DD 4-53

Wonder if there is any old timers left from the Henry-Allis Chalmers Topeka plant days that could speak to this test design. They would have to be pushing early 80-90's in age if still around.

Trying to figure out what this Track loader is it has a partial Allis Charmers sticker on back side tank, powered by DD 4-53

Interesting mix match on the undercarriage that's for sure. As DMiller notes the sprockets on the rear appear HD5/6 vintage. The open idler in the front says H3,HD3 or H-4 HD4. The later (70 - 75) 650 series crawler - loader - dozers had solid drum type sprockets. Does the 4-53 run out well?

Trying to figure out what this Track loader is it has a partial Allis Charmers sticker on back side tank, powered by DD 4-53

Rep0144 - You might find this link interesting - I posted this query some years ago based on the fact that AC had a proving ground in Topeka - see link here: https://www.allischalmers.com/forum/ac-topeka-plant-proving-grounds_topic131873.html ~ Orangeman

Trying to figure out what this Track loader is it has a partial Allis Charmers sticker on back side tank, powered by DD 4-53

There is a screen in the sump if it has a torque converter, my guess is that maybe asking for service, thus leading to the slight delay in forward. Glad you got this old girl back on her legs!

Trying to figure out what this Track loader is it has a partial Allis Charmers sticker on back side tank, powered by DD 4-53

Rep0144- Am pretty certain this unit was an experimental unit based on the Hd4 and 650 series crawler. Interesting dash layout with all the gauges. The foot pedals look like they came from and HD6 or maybe a later AC 11B series crawler - loader. How is your progress on this unit. Hope to see...

    My CAT 426 Project

DMiller: Thanks for posting the supply source for the floor mat. I have been looking for at rubber truck bed liners as a cheap source for a inside floor liner. I see them alot on facebook from $50-75 just have to find a good tool to cut them down to fit. ~ Orangeman

Case 580k stopping running 2 hours after fuel filter change

Just a thought - Was the ambient outdoor temperature from when you were using and running change to significantly colder temperature when you went to use it again? Water condensation within the fuel system can and does freeze at some point and can cause starting and ignition issues...

    My CAT 426 Project

Edgephoto - looks to be nice stainless steel fastners on the floorboard! Sorry to hear about the life details creeping in to slow down progress, but somehow life throws us curve balls from time to time. Glad to hear that progress is resuming on the old Cat hoe. Working on this old iron is...

Trying to figure out what this Track loader is it has a partial Allis Charmers sticker on back side tank, powered by DD 4-53

Rep0144- Thanks for the additional photos! The center filter with the aluminum housing appears to be a filter and base from the AC 650 crawler-loader-dozers. Normally, that filter and base was to provide clean oil to the shuttle shift transmission and torque converter. The bottom end is...

Trying to figure out what this Track loader is it has a partial Allis Charmers sticker on back side tank, powered by DD 4-53

REP0144: Would it be possible to get a photo of the rear end of the machine? It looks to me that the rear end of the unit has an additional fuel tank that was fabbed up and mounted behind the seat. Also, the give away on the machine is the sloping hood which was typical of the Allis Chalmers...
