    Pics of your mini!

A pic of the day I brought Yanni home (Yanmar 35-5). Had 155 hours on the meter. Its got 630 now not a lick of trouble. This thing has dug my sewer, rooted out trees. built a rock retaining wall, weeping tile, lifted countless trees, and demolished a house to name just a few jobs. By far the...

    Building steps from stone

I'm trying to use the rock that was taken out of my basement. The trick is to sort through it all to get consistent sizing. The idea is to place it with out any mortar. Not sure what the total rise is just yet as I have to do a bit of figuring out the total landscaping with the retaining wall...

Hey Scuba, I agree with the others...get as big a machine as you can afford and a thumb for messing with rocks, jungle etc.. Watch out for those machines with new paint at the auction. Sometimes they look great but underneath the paint you have grief. Also make sure what you buy has a parts...

Both units were listed on KIJIJI here on the Edmonton web page. You could try to do a search and see if they are still available under heavy equipment. I ended up buying a compact utility tractor.... go figure!

Cat 246C and Case 430 Advice needed please

One of the things I guess I will have to do is get some seat time in each. Both are private sales so I dont think that will be more than 5 minutes. I do recall running a 248B last summer for a buddy and what I didnt like about the B series was I could not see the cutting edge from the seat. The...

Post Hole Auger For A Mini X

Quick questions on the auger topic: Is there any difference in buying an auger with the hex style shaft vs the round. I would think hex would be the better way to go but am I wrong? Also if I am using the foot switch attachment on my mini how do I reverse the auger or can I. Or do I plumb...

Cat 252b Rust in fuel tank

How do you store the fuel drums? I know if you store them standing up right that is a recipe for moisture. Pilots will tell you drums must be stored on their sides with the bungs covered with fluid. This keeps any moisture or condensation from creeping in. Also are your drums clean? Add a...

    Cost of septic system

Whoa...didnt mean to strike a soft spot there Craft. I'm just telling you what the customers have told me. There are 2 sides to the story. There are the guys who milked it because they had uneducated customers who didnt do their homework. They gave the song and dance about the new regs and...

    Cost of septic system

Sounds like the same scam that happened in BC a few years ago when they brought in their new rules. The "certified" guys had a field day with charging what ever the market would bear! I just did my system in BC this past May with the help of a certified installer and the cost came it at...
