    hey ian where in Ms are you? could the angle sensor be 180 degrees out? could the wires to the solenoids be reversed? you might need to run dr diagnostics.

    if machine function changes when the wiring is swapped then the solenoids are probably ok. the angle sensor is your problem. this site has some excellent threads on this issue. try looking as far back as two years.

    you'll want to use a hoist. it's too heavy to catch by hand when you drop it (about 50 lbs). a seal kit should be about $150. if the seal races are too pitted you'll have replace the whole joint which is pricey.
