    Newby question D8H

The best thing for squirrels is to encourage natural predators such as owls, hawks, and snakes (dogs can also be trained to chase squirrels though the native predators are usually better). Though I find a 16 gauge shotgun and a box of shells works nicely (at least for amusement purposes). Here...

Yep that's what the pictures title would indicate. A bad place to park, hopefully that operator was off somewhere else.

    Bees

Yeah it sounds more like yellow jackets. The time I ran into a nest of them they looked like honey bees except if I recall correctly honey bees seem to be a bit more shaggy and yellow jackets are more shiny. I don't know if that makes sense. But yeah one minute there were just a few popping in...

I'd hate to be on that crew for sure. In my town they have a hard time with natural gas lines. The policy now is that the excavator gets the entire bill, even before an investigation is finalized. Of course we also have a lot of sewer line breaks...though most of those aren't operator related.

    questions??? Again. bear with me.

LOL Surfer-joe is describing a lot of what is going on in all trades. Look at appliance repair. There was a time that if you had a broken TV or washing machine you would call a repair man. Now everything in all industries is going one of two directions. Either the equipment is to cheap to...

Need help with Heavy equipment training

I'm looking at a couple of things myself. I was working for a vending machine company for 11 years running their computers (everything is getting a computer) and working on their handhelds. I worked myself up in that from a route driver to machine repair and finally into the office. But I...

Fly-By-Night on the gas and kicking a....

As digger had mentioned you will definitely want to figure in the replacement cost on your truck. Even if your plan is to go into a similar vehicle with similar costs that's definitely something you need to figure into your math. Eventually if you ever get a friend who can help out with...
