    10ft moldboard

Has anyone ever used a 10ft moldboard for narrow roads on a JD 670 sized grader?

    JD 670A vs 670B

What about a plane old 670? Or is that a 670A?

    UC on D5H XL

I got the "official" report yesterday... They calculate the UC is about 80% worn. They are willing to give a trade in value of $26,000. Considering that on the online classifieds they seem to be $35-40,000 with good UCs that trade in value doesn't seem to be too bad seeing some of you...

    Cat vs John Deere Dozers

I'd throw in that Cat has been building construction equipment longer than has Deere. Time breeds loyalty. I would rate the two companies dealer networks pretty close to each other. You don't have to travel far to find one. Cat came out with their challenger line of rubber tracked ag...

    Just bought a 1998 john deere 850C.

Nonsense! We are looking at a D6N for a farm dozer...the D5 isn't big enough.

    Suggestions for a used grader?

We get mouse nests and bird nests in our windmachines every summer. Just got to clean them out and get them all. Mice also like to go up the exhaust on them. Just got to be diligent and get them out.

    Website Hosting

Before we started hosting our own sight a couple years ago, we used httpme http://www.httpme.com They are pretty cool and in fact, you could host multiple domains with them. You needed a bit of technical knowledge, but it isn't that bad. Service was pretty affordable and they really work hard...

    That would be awesome.

    UC on D5H XL

It may increase the value at the Cat dealer. But I'm not sure. The sales staff seemed awfully high and mighty; if it isn't cat its crap sort of mentality. The shop guys are pretty cool though and don't pass judgement. They just get it done. Too bad they don't cut the deals. Now if i...

    Suggestions for a used grader?

Well?? So how do you like the machine? I'm also looking at a Deere 670B. Can I be so bold as to ask how much you paid for it?

    UC on D5H XL

I am guessing you did the work yourself?

    Apples harvester.

Yes, there is; especially if it for fresh market fruit. That being said, I have seen many ideas and it is a pretty tough proposition to harvest apples for fresh market. I suggest you contact the Washington State Research Commission http://www.treefruitresearch.com. The director is a fellow...

    Name this dozer

It is a nursery tree digger. I know several people that have them here in Wa State and have seen them in operation. They straddle the nursery tree that has been grown for one season (here it is apple, pear or cherry). Then there is an under cutter that cuts through any roots and pulls the...

    UC on D5H XL

Dare I ask, but what sort of a job was it? We have a really good and bright farm mechanic on staff. Mainly he just fabricates things and tears down our orchard tractors and equipment. It is nothing to see a tractor with one half here and the other half there. The largest job he ever tackled...

    Reynolds push bar

They aren't....however, that doesn't mean it hasn't been tried. I'm curious if anyone here has tried and how it worked.

    UC on D5H XL

So did you just get the parts and do the work yourself?

    Reynolds push bar

Has anyone ever installed a sort of push bar on the back of a reynolds scraper? Any fear that the forces of being pushed translated onto the hydralics and caused any damage?

    JD 670A vs 670B

What are the big differences between a 670A and 670B grader? Bs I know are a bit newer, and can have a slight price premium, but aside from a bit newer, what are you getting that is different and noteworthy? Thanks-

    UC on D5H XL

We are considering trading off our 1996 D5H XL for a D6N. However, the UC is probably about 75% worn and we are worried what this will do to the re-sale or trade in value. How much is new UC going to cost? Local cat dealer seems to think it will be $25,000 for the parts alone then the...
