There was only that tag on the tower. The rest were torn off. I was really curious what it was and you guys didn’t let me down!

Went on an excursion today and found this gem still intact. I can remember this yarder sitting there when I was a kid. Glad to see it’s still together but would’ve loved to see it set up

Looks like it could be but our trucks don’t need those tall of stakes

I figured that's what you meant. Those things were the right color because they would end up giving everyone around them the blues

Well I figured it's gotta be better than the job the guys we pay to have it done by do. And it does look like a new design but then again I've only been on a machine that takes a 404 chain for a year

I'm sure this should go in another category, but has anyone ever tried grinding the 80 gauge 404 harvester chain with a chisel grinder? I was thinking it might be easy enough to modify the chain guide on my simington swing arm grinder to make it fit. Might just have to give it a try..

One of our contractors down here has 6 gt 3s currently. He buys them up and parks them in his yard. I think he only runs one or two of them

I worked for a company that had 3 45s at one time and they were great. They stretched the frame on one and put an Allison trans in it and it would pull like it was possessed

There are still a couple of those around here. First yarder I ever worked under was a 108 and that thing scared the crap out me. I was only 16 and just knew I wasn't going to see 17 unless I stayed way out of the way

There were a bunch of those around here. Up until 10-15 years ago then they started to disappear. I think there might be one still logging for our northern division. And yes they are ugly

First machine I ever got to run was a very old 977. Hand clutch and a pony motor. That was probably 35 years ago. Damn if it didn't get me hooked. Now I went and did it to my kids. Vicious cycle
