    Hauling Capacity question

Here in NC they go by the bridge law, they measure the distance between the steer axle and to the center of the "group" of axles, a triaxle and quad are considered as a group of rear axles. Everytime Im weighed which is very frequently around westinghouse and the stateline, they always go by...

    Dump bed with cracks?

I stand corrected, I was told that was the only way to tell the difference between the true "L" 9000 and LNT, LT versions.

    Dump bed with cracks?

L9000s do not have double frames...They have the thick belly drop frames...L8000s have the straight frame with no bellydrop. $12,900 is way to high for that truck. I know where several one owner L series factory tri axle trucks are in the area for under $10,000. Also Charlotte Freightliner...

    first dump truck

For your first dump truck, I'd look for a L9000 with the walking beam suspension (check for play in the beams by turning the truck sharply) Full lockers are a must have! Being your first truck your gonna take every job you can get, atleast I did! and it put me in some predicaments that only...

Trading my deere 320D for a Cat 262c,

I'm not sure about the Skids, or 320D...But the new 333D I have on demo is scary fast in reverse with the 2 speed enabled. It can honestly get away from you if your not careful and just jump into this machine coming from older slower T300's.

Ok, T190...tell me all about it

Thats a very nice machine! You also had an awesome dealer if you bought the machine from Charlotte Bobcat. The area looks very familiar, what kind of work are you into if you don't mind me asking?

    Power Wagon aka Mc Mobile

That thing is awesome!! Once you get the driveline bulletproof, you can really put the power to that 12 valve cummins. Also I think some super singles would look amazing on that truck! Excellent job!

    Cat 330c

The hour meter in this Cat 330 i'm operating is not working properly. I was wondering where the fuse would be located and which one it is. I've been looking in the fuse panel on the side of the machine with no luck. Was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on getting...

    Kobelco Owners and Operators

I dont own it, But I've been living inside this Kobelco ED150 Bladerunner equipped with a hydraulic thumb for the last 4 months and I love every minute of it! No downtime (yet) and works effortlessly. Only complaint is that it does run hot when dozing over 100 ft. and traveling back and forth.

    CAT 3306 Problem in 97 L9000

Well today I found out that I have cracked the #1 piston. But also the valves were hitting the #1 piston as well. What does this mean? Mechanic says I need to have the head reworked but if I could get away with some new valvesprings that'd be great. Any and all suggestions would be greatly...

    CAT 3306 Problem in 97 L9000

Hello all, I was recently hauling down the interstate running about 2000rpms at 68mph in my 1997 Ford L9000 Dump truck. Then I noticed it started skipping and missing and blowing smoke out of the blowby tube and leaking oil between the oilpan and block. Also blue and grey smoke coming from...
