    Embrace the metric system. Haha.

    Slippin Daytons

I don't think it is possible to spin the wheel so bad that the truck won't move without other obvious issues such as major wobble and broken vave stems. Obviously if they are moving that needs to be addressed but you may find you have issues in the rear like a broken axle or gear set. Also, you...

No. That is not even enough to fool yourself into thinking you are making money.

    Kobelco sk210-lc8 pouring black smoke

Fuel being that contaminated sounds really bad, but I would think it would skip, white smoke, or misfire if that was the problem. You took care of the intake side of things, how about the exhaust?

Ford vs. a Dodge...... (Gooseneck Tow Vehicle)

I hope this is not true. There is no reason a truck should he down for a month. Get another transmission, or another truck. I got a tour of the Komatsu factory a couple years ago and the guide pointed to a new 450 excavator and said 'well we can't ignore the elephant in the room, we had to...

    jd550h not tracking

550h It probably is a speed sensor. They have come down in price and are easy to change. You really need to get a technical manual though. I am on vacation and can't access mine but there is a way to look at left and right track speed on the controller. One will be erratic or 0. Shut...

2003 F250SD with the 6.0L diesel How dependable

People use the term 'bulletproofed' with these motors and the work done to them does help. The head studs, egr delete, etc. Even with that stuff done there are too many things that can be a nuisance or worse, leave you on the side of the road. I own four 7.3 trucks and am tempted at times to...

    Glider kits

On glider kits, I think they are a great idea. I looked into it last year at this time to build a new 389 Pete with a 3406E or N14. There are a lot of advantages, non emission engine being the most obvious, but also Federal excise tax advantages too. You need to use two major components out...

    Glider kits

Front discharge mixers may be longer but not by much and I bet the wheelbase is quite a bit shorter. Visibility of the entire process (other than leaving) is obviously much better with a front discharge. Also, with some weight off the truck to make a little less top heavy you can really get...

    End dump spewing oil

In my experience the cause is suckling air into the pump, usually at the seal to the input shafts of the pump. It does do it more in the fold too. I have learned this one the hard way fighting with the problem and wasting oil, making a mess etc. I tried putting the body down slow as possible...

International 8100 with M11 - Electrical Nightmares, need guidance

oh, and I have gotten new harnesses pinned wrong because of serial number variations. So take your time. Also, is it not cranking as you said or not firing? The cranking circuit is very simple and if it won't crank that is a great place to start.

International 8100 with M11 - Electrical Nightmares, need guidance

Just an idea here. Disconnect the ground from batteries. Replace all blown fuses. Turn everything on including the ignition. Disconnect the plugs at the firewall. Use a multimeter to test for continuity from each pin to positive of the battery. With each one you find continuity verify...

    Converted Dump Truck Questions

I would use a direct mount pto with air shift. Then I would use a Commercial C102 pump with built in valve. As for controls the vendor I know of that has everything is Buyers.

New Toy 1969ish International Need Carb Info

carb Holley 600cfm vacuum secondary. The floats and bowls are a little different than the larger 650-850 cfm when you are ordering parts. I am pretty sure they call it a side hung instead of the center hung but not 100% on that as it's been a loooong time.

iirc, i removed the battery box and sheetmetal around it and the seat and all that. the tanks stayed in place.

Manhours needed to replace steering brakes and drive clutch discs on d3b 23y?

I have done the brakes and clutches in one of those that belonged to a friend. It took a couple days to do both sides. It has been about five years, but I recall there was a tapered shaft that I was told you need to press the brake drum? off and back on. I made a tool and hit it with a hammer...

    Wa320-5

Just bought a low hour WA320-5. Pretty excited about it since I have been running a couple older loaders for a while now and needed to update. Anything specific with these machines I need to look out for or more carefully maintain. Thanks in advance.
