    Have To Decide Between These

We would rather have too big than too little I guess. Yours at 49,500 is between the two I mentioned if ritchiespecs is right. We won't have a problem hauling it but here we can only get 80,000 plates so it would be over depending on machine weight and I have not weighed our lowboy yet.

    Have To Decide Between These

I have to make a decision soon and am looking at the 2001 PC228US3 but trying to compare and decide between it and a 2003 SK250LC. I know the Kobelco is a little bigger going by ritchiespecs but looking at pictures of the Komatsu it looks a lot smaller than the Kobelco. Had decided that we were...

Sucking Trash And How To Stop It

It has perforated metal doors and I assumed 100% of the air was supposed to come through them. Some of them have solid doors? We also are working in CRP and ground that was not planted last year. Cleaning the radiator is bad enough but I'm afraid we are going to catch it on fire. We blow it out...

Sucking Trash And How To Stop It

There has to be a way to stop a D6R from sucking trash into the radiator. We put new seals on the doors but it is getting through around the cab and coming all the way from the back. Is there some foam that should block the air coming from the back? Dead grass is whats coming in. Thanks

    Air Or Spring?

We are looking for a hyd detach lowboy and I have found a couple nice ones that are spring ride. Would we regret this? The one I'm liking the best is an 02 Fontaine. For the same money would you pick an 02 spring ride Fontaine or an 2007 FERREE air ride?

    Cat Dealer Needs Help

I don't know how to figure this out but I am trying to install a AMFM radio and two way radio in the D6R we just bought. Dealer says its build sheet says its radio ready and it does have the wires for the radio and speakers already in the headliner. I bought the radio from Cat Part #DD331-5292...

    Good And Bad On A 2001 PC228UF

We have found this and know nothing about Komatsu. Was there anything wrong with these and what would it compare to in a Cat? What does the UF mean and I have read on hear about a grey market machine and wondered if this could be one. Thanks for any help.

    Shop Floor & D6R

We found and bought a 1998 D6R and am wondering about pulling it into the shop on planks. The shop floor is 6 to 8 inches thick with floor heat tubes at the bottom of the pad stapled to 2 inches of foam board. The door opening is 12 inches thick and I was thinking if I can keep the weight of the...

    Is A 315L Big Enough

Thanks for the help. Its listed as a 1995 with 3057 hours on it which seems low for that year of machine. The only serial number he gave us was 6YM and he didn't have the rest of it handy. This somewhat concerned dad, you would think he would have the number handy if trying to sell but maybe...

    D6R LGP Or Not

Looking for a D6R for use on a farm and wondering which to go with. Dad has always had an old D7 17A so we are looking at something we can't compare to. One thing dad noticed is with the wider blade on the LGP it seems it would be easier to see the outside of the blade to see whats going on. It...

    Is A 315L Big Enough

Hi everyone. We are looking at a 315L and wondered if it would be big enough aound a farm. Main use would be cleaning and making drainage ditches and taking out trees. We have always had a dozer on the farm but know little about excavators. It says it is around 36,000 lbs and 100 HP. The weight...
