    Dozer blade ?

Not sure on the ASV machines but on the Cat the aux electrics there is a cab mounted toggle switch to activate the circuit, check the fuse box and relay for that circuit. Usually aux elec is an add on option with harness, connectors and hand control unit etc, get a wiring diagram and check if it...

    Road grading with ctl?

I’m a big fan of the Power Box Rake, I use a Cat PR184 the same as the Harley MX7 and do a lot of long rural gravel & clay driveways with it. One advantage is that you can run a light scarifying pass over the area prior to puting down your top surface this will minimise any delamination between...

    Chaining the blade

I wasn't aware you could use lifting grade chains for load restraining. Don't they meet different standards and are rated according to the intended use i.e. Working Load Limit or Lashing Capacity. How do you go using 1/2" binders on the 3/8" chain are the clevis/grab hooks loose in the chain link?

    Have snap binders been outlawed?

I've moved away from snap binders and have been using, with great success and safety for that matter, a binder combining the old style dog and ratchet tie down in one. Here is a link to check out. Not sure if they are available overseas though.

    Skid Steer Slasher

Thanks for the info so far. My intentions are for grass cutting and light scrub only on terrain that a Cat MTL can traverse using a 1.6m wide std flow Timber Wolf/Cat brush cutter.

    Skid Steer Slasher

Hoping that you experienced guys can shed some light on the pro's and con's of slashing/brushcutting with a tracked skid steer. I have heard that the discharge from some slashers can vent back into the inside of the tracks and cause issues. I was also wondering if you can safe guard against...

Hydraulic quick connect isn't so quick

I only seem to have issues with my 4in1 being hard to remove and replace at times. Now I just crack open the clam jaw a little and it helps, I don't seem to have any issue with any of my other attachments that run on Aux hydraulics though. Connecting the work tool hydraulic lines together is a...

    Cat to the Mat

A little more info for you eclm1004. The fuel tank water and sediment drain plug is under the rear left bumper area, make sure the tank is almost empty and the fuel cap is off prior to opening the drain plug (for obvious reasons). More details are located here on pages 135 - 138.

    Cat to the Mat

Hi eclm1004 welcome to the forum. I'm struggling a little trying to understand what you are saying/asking. I am assuming you are referring to when the fuel tank gets below half it stalls. Have you replaced the inline fuel filter and the fuel system primary filter (water separator) recommended...

    What Attachments Do You Use?

Hi i'm new to this forum so forgive me hijacking this thread to ask a question. Is there a difference in operating outcomes between the Harley Power Rake and the Caterpillar Power Box Rake? (for skid steer & track loaders) I have looked at the specs for each and they seem to be almost the...
