Curious on after treatment for a 313fl excavator 2019 yr

I have heard that the scr def system is the easiest to delete and can be returned with minimal effort. Yes CAT won’t work on the engine, and I’ve got mixed results on rather to do it.

    The Ultimate Small Dozer

Sir everything I have is paid for. Go ahead and play bleeding heart if you want to, but the machine is junk. There’s an awful if iffs in your rant.

    The Ultimate Small Dozer

Yes you are correct if you like junk. Hence the money pit reference. You can put thousands in this and have NO value. Looks like pieces are missing on the track frame too. I would value as scrap and take it from there. A lot of people like junk and I’m sure it will find a home, but here...

    The Ultimate Small Dozer

I’ve seen equipment like this over my years. Significant oil leak on the track frame, likely needs an undercarriage. Might need engine or transmission work, older hoses. Old dozer doesn’t have any current value except as scrap.

    The Ultimate Small Dozer

Looks like a whole lot of headaches to me, and you will never have anything but a money pit with no matter how much you repair it. No residual value either.

    The Ultimate Small Dozer

I would look at the new Cat D1 or D2 dozers. All the features in a small dozer you would ever need.

How much paint for a D3B?

I’ve painted a lot of machines before and it’s really hard to beat cat yellow. It’s around 60 dollars a gallon here, and it blends when dry to the existing unpainted yellow well. I like to keep machines looking good and that’s my experience.

D4C Series III loses strength after working for a few hours

I have a friend who has a 320DL and had the symptoms you describe. After a new hours the machine would lose power and quit. He thought it was dirty fuel, but when I inspected it you couldn’t get the fuel cap off. Fuel tanks need to be vented so a new cap fixed his problems. Not saying this is...

    D5K2 problems

They replaced the inlet one, and it turns out the def injector was dripping instead of spraying. This makes it not function, as it has deposits in the mixer. They then had to do two recovery procedures to get it back to normal. Let’s hope that does it now

I have a D5K2 sn kw202206 it has the latest software and I keep getting codes E1389 1, 2, 3, and 1410-2 and last week had 5856-9. They replaced the def header, got a day and a half and got the three 1389 codes back and then the 1410-2. Cat has been here 5 times since March 24 and they cannot...

    Bedrock thumb review

Thanks 2machine, I was wondering if it bolts up like OEM equipment, or does the dozer have to be modified?
