    JCB Skidsteers?

Hey kss thanks for the response, that's kind of what I thought. I haven't seen any of these on jobs around here so I guess that probably answers my question as well, but it's nice to hear it from some one else. Resale is important to me and it sounds like there isn't any with these! I think I'm...

    JCB Skidsteers?

Hi all, I have been off this site for quite a while since I thought I was getting out of the business and sold all my equipment. But, I am thinking about Buying a skidsteer with either a Brush Hog type mower or a forestry head and have found a JCB 300T with a new Bradco MM60 head on it for what...

new to me takeuchi tb135--need advice on bucket sizes

Hey Lindsey, congratulations on your purchase! I have a TB145 that I use a 48" cleanout bucket on and it is about max for my machine, although I do think that volume is probably the real factor. I think this bucket holds about 1/3yd (just a swag, don't hold me to it!). Something wider for...

    Heat/ac for TL140

Given the fact that the machine is so low hour and is paid for do you think getting a new machine is worth the inevitable loss? The only thing that I don't like about this one is the lack of comfort (I guess I'm geetting old, I much prefere my hoe with heat and a/c). I found a mechanic who works...

    Heat/ac for TL140

That's probably good advice Delmer, I am in the Portland Oregon are and we really only have a few weeks of really warm weather, lots more cold then hot. I have found some simple looking heater units that could be adapted without too much trouble but I was thinking the a/c would be nice if I...

    Heat/ac for TL140

The reading I have been doing seems to lead to either Red Dot or Dtac. I know the heater in my TB145 is a red dot. Any ideas for installation aside from the dealer? They are very $$$$$$!

    Heat/ac for TL140

Hi guys, I just recently finished installing a cab kit on my TL140 (All windows, doors, wiper etc.) The thing that I am notably lacking is heat and ac! It alsmost sems self defeating now to have done all that work and still be either baking or freezing! I am wondering if anyone has much...

Cold cab on Tak T145, FAn blows but no heat, any ideas!

Ok, I'll check all the cables as well, it almost looks like one of them may have come loose but I'm not sure yet, it's a real rats nest down there with cables, hoses, relays etc!

Cold cab on Tak T145, FAn blows but no heat, any ideas!

Hi all, I have a tak 145 with low hours, cab machine, has heat and A/C and as far as I can tell reverything seems to be working well "BUT", no heat. I have checked all the fuses, have coolant in machine, A/C is working, no signs of leaks anywhere. There is a cut off valve from the heater core...

    advice for new machine

Really great information I must say and I am not in the position to say that I have anywhere near the hours you gentleman do so I respect your opinions highly. SeaMac, you are absolutely right that this a business decision and one which could be catastrophic if I make the wrong choice! I have...

    advice for new machine

I used a rented Hyundai 160 last year and it was a decent machine, pushed a 60" bucket w/o any problem through really thick clay where a 120 (my 1st attempt) was really slow. Can I haul a 160 behind a dump? (I don't remember the weight of the machine I used)

    advice for new machine

That's good to hear, I ahve never owned a Cat machine but have always heard about their service. What would be a reasonable price to pay for a machine with low hours? (no more then 3000)?

    advice for new machine

13bnos thanks for the info about Buzzards, I am always a little leary about non mainstream dealers and will see what happens with the truck deal! Big Iron, what don,t you like about the Cat 315? I have not been a fan of 0 clearance machines myself as they seem too tippy. I have thought more...

    advice for new machine

That place is about 3 minutes away from where I live (off of Shorties Corner) and I am actually looking at one of their trucks, a nice T800KW dump truck. I have always wondered about their machines but they sure do turn a lot of equipment so they must be doing something right! Can I ask what you...

    advice for new machine

I don't know much about Komatsu machines, they do seem to be at the lower end of the price spectrum. Never ran a Volvo but do like Hitachi and John Deere quite a lot. Would like to go with one of them if I can find the right deal but all the low hour machines I have looked at are priced at...

    advice for new machine

Wow! I really appreciate your help! I will call them and see what they can do for me, they are a pretty well known name around here. I want the bucket to be as heavy duty as possible but it has to have a smooth edge so I guess it would be more like a "maintenance" bucket. I always prefere to go...

    advice for new machine

Great! I will look at these, not sure who services them here but I am sure there is a dealer in the area (I am in the Portland Oregon area.) I believe these are around the weight class I am looking at. Would this hande the 60" bucket? I want to be able to dig my loop trenches with just one...

    advice for new machine

Thanks for the response but I am going to stick to a tracked machine. A lot of this work is done in very wet conditions and I don't think a wheeled machine is an option. Also, due to their lack of popularity here I think it could be a white elephant at sale time. Thanks for the response though!
