Long term storage of 6v batteries?

I have a scissor lift that I don't use too much, and it can sit for months at a time. Last time I went to use it the batteries were nearly dead and would not recover with a charger. Can you put a maintainer on these batteries? And how would you connect?

    Takeuchi tl140 leak.

That left clean nut you see has worked itself loose a couple times in the last year. I'd take a wrench and hammer and tighten it back up. How tight should that nut be? On the plus side, this is the only leak this machine has ever had.

Genie rough terrain scissor, barely moves when elevated.

I have a 2006 genie gs2668rt gas. Drive works fine when deck is down. When the deck is up, the drive is supposed to go into slow mode. Lately it barely moves. Moves Only if the ground is very smooth. It's as if the drive pressure is very weak. Is there a way to adjust this? I've increased the...

    Jcb brake chatter?

I have a late model 509-42 and am on a job with some hills. And the weather is warm, and thus the brakes are chattering a little. I had changed the axle oils last year with jcb brand oil. Is there an additive I can add to stop the chatter?

Utilities across a driveway for new construction

I do mostly residential new construction. We have to dig down a little for the driveways to place stone. Do you guys just assume the utilities were placed deep enough? I've gotten my Shovel out many times and do a test hole to see how deep gas is. Doing homes now where there's gas, cable, and...

So many Case threads. Either really popular, or unreliable?

There always seems to be a majority of threads here for case backhoes. What do you guys think? Either case is a top selling backhoe, or most unreliable? What do you guys think?

Thoughts on putting a magnet inside a final drive?

What do you guys think of placing a strong magnet on the inside of a planetary? To catch metal particles. Behind the cover. Or perhaps getting one of them very large magnets and just sticking it on the outside of the planetary cover?

    Bonding 2 concrete slabs?

Since the other fella asked a concrete question here , I thought I'd ask you guys too. Basically a customer wants this floor to be tiled. Problem is that when they poured the inner slab section in this unit, they didn't put any pins or rebar at the edges. So the slabs move up and down...

Jcb telehandler ignition on, key off.

Hey jcb Jeff! I need your help . I have a jcb 509-42. It's been parked for a while. But today I heard a buzzing noise and come to find the ignition on. Buzzing. Flashing STOP NOW. S078 and z111 error. The first is a canbus error. And the second is fault list full. Machine has a cab and was...

    Skyjack 3219 weak drive

I have an older skyjack 3219 and it won't drive up a traile, tilt bed. The electric motor spins but no movement. I don't have a pressure gauge to check pump pressure. Where could I get a cheap gauge? Or should I just go ahead and assume the pump is weak and replace it?

    Going to Conexpo?

I'm having second thoughts on going. With all this virus scare. Plus there's no gold lot this year. That lot is under construction for a new hall, so they're using a lot a few blocks away. Kinda sucks. Plus I don't see jcb there this year. I wonder why? They usually have a great show. Oh, and...

Ok. So I need new tracks. Recommendations for a Takeuchi tl140?

I posted a few days ago how my track popped off and then popped itself back on. Got lucky. Well today 2 track links fell off one track. These are original tracks with 900 hours. Any recommendations? I'm near Chicago.

Takeuchi tracked popped off then back on!

I still have the original tracks on my tl140. Around 900 hours and they still look decent. Not sure if old tracks flex more? Was in some serious mud today and when driving parallel to ruts, the tracks would pop sometimes. Then it popped hard. I looked to the side to see the right track popped...
