    Cat 259d or 289d Deere 323e

The 259 packs a lot of performance in a small package. One of my favorite machines to run. Power to weight ratio etc is very good. I would definitely recommend you demo one before you make your purchase. If it can't handle what your throwing at it I agree. Go with the 299XHP. Just my 2...

    Skytrak 5028 transmission

I know this is an old thread but its along the same lines so I don't see the point in starting a new one. We are currently running one of these and the drop box is really noisy. Is this normal for these machines? It is just the straight drop box. No hi/lo torque. I just can't seem to find...

    2002 Genie S40 problem

We have two identical 2002 S40s with Ford dual fuel. Recently one of them started acting up and it has me stumped. It will idle fine until you use one of the functions or switch it to high rpm. Then it will shut off like you hit the e-stop. No sputtering or anything. The oil safety shutoff...

    Genie smoking

I have one of these f3m1011 deutz engines in a 2001 JLG 400s and it smokes bad when it comes under load like it has a plugged air filter and it whistles out of the exhaust like it has a turbo on it. Could it just be valves or does it need a timing belt or what? All filters are new and it still...

    Another Perkins Pukes

OK. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't gotten to it yet. Just been too busy.

    Another Perkins Pukes

I dunno. I have to slide it out the end of the block to get it out. There are no main caps. Just one bolt in the center of each main bearing. The engine is a 3024c.

    Another Perkins Pukes

Yeah I'm gonna bore it out and put oversized pistons in it and machine the crank. Machining is going to cost me about $400 for everything so that's not too bad. Is there any thing to removing the injection pump? The crank is also a ball bearing type. Never seen that before.

    Caterpillar skidsteer engines

JT Services in Minnesota has blocks around $900 if I recall correctly. I am currently rebuilding a 3024c and they have pretty much all the parts I need.

Has anyone ever rebuilt a c2.2/3024c? Currently have one apart that spun a connecting rod bearing. Wondering if it's worth messing with.

    cat 247b fuel pump?????

I was working on a Cat 216 (which I think has the same engine), that was having fuel problems. I replaced the lift pump and it runs perfect. Cat tech told me these are known for going out so that would be my first guess. They're like $75.
