how to remove stuck injector on a perkins?

I had this happen on a komatsu dozer once. Found a lug nut at Napa that threaded onto the injector and made a puller with it. Took a lot of force to get it out but it eventually pulled out.

i need some help with a 1956 manitowoc 3500 we just bought. I want to tear it down to move but I’m not sure on the weights of all the parts. I’d like to just pull the boom and counterweights off it and move it on a beam. If anyone has any old books on these and could give me a idea of what...

977 a little Light in the Rear

R.J. Corman has a yard near us and you see those 977’s and old side booms coming and going all the time. Kinda neat to see a yard full of all modern equipment except for the heavy iron which is all pre 1980.

    D9t torque converter temp

It’s got 48300 total frame hours. Not sure on the most resent rebuild but this tractor came from a power plant pushing coal into the feeders. We bought it at auction. Then transmission always stays in the lower half of the gauge and I think 205 is the highest It ever went and that was when I...

    D9t torque converter temp

I have a d9t rjs00178 that when up to operating temp (about 170) the display is saying the torque converter is around 195-200. I’m not sure if this is normal operating temp or if we are building heat due to wear. Just seemed a little high. Thanks

We take our stuff down every night. It takes a little while in the morning to get set up but I know I don’t want to be the one that has to make the call to my dad to tell him someone still out globe. 1985 d31a-17 floor pedals?

The inching pedal does act as a brake when fully applied. They’re good little machines for fine grading and such. We have had ours for years and other than a off the wall fueling issue it had we haven’t had to do much to it. One of the nice things is being able to grade all day and you won’t...

    Info on a bell b50d

Thanks 631g. We talked to a guy who just bought a fleet of these trucks. He told us they are great running trucks they just don’t have all the driver comfort of a Volvo. We pulled the trigger on one last week and should be getting delivered this week. I agree about the Deere 40t trucks. We...

Burying 8 inch Pipe With a Cat 215

Well first what type of job is this? Is it a replacement or all new install. Will you be trenching around a lot of utilities or is this going across a field. Is it a rate job or private. What type of pipe c-900, ductile, fusion, or something else. How much man power do you have available...

Questions about operation of a JRB hydraulic quick disconnect on a Komatsu PC 200 LC

You got the idea. Flip the switch and curl the bucket in to apply pressure to the coupler. Once you switch buckets curl the bucket in and flip the switch off. A good habit to get into is after you change buckets always push the back of the teeth against the ground. This way if the connection...
