Good to know, my Cat D series is sealed up so I haven't had that issue.

Kubota SVL 95-2 with AFE SS ECO Mulcher

If you were to bring this set up to the dealership do they have a hose machine? If not your local Caterpillar dealership should have a hose machine. It shouldn't be hard to figure out what size either JIC or British Standard Pipe fitting is on the AFE head. Be carefule when running this head...

    New excavator price

I think it depends where you are in the country. Out here in California Komatsu has no real dealer network so there parts availability sucks. We looked at them & Volvo but both cost more to service than the Cat did. I was suprised to see that.

    New excavator price

My company did a demo between a Cat 320EL RR & a Deere 210LG & the Cat really impressed us. The cat burned 1/2 the fuel the Deere did & was able to out lift the Deere even at full extension. I think the Cat was $215K & the Deere was $190K. I like you thought they were all the same but with...

    Wanting Expert Opnion On CTL

I actually work for a Cat dealer in sales & have never heard of charging for a demo. The Deere does make a very good machine, but if it were me spending that kind of money I would still ask the other dealers to do a free demo like Deere. Obviously I lean towards Cat, but I really think it's...

    Wanting Expert Opnion On CTL

If it were me I would have the Cat & Bobcat dealers do a demo on new CTL's. Try & get them as closely equipped as possible & see which one you like more in your application. Everyone test drives a new vehicle, so you might as well do the same with your tractor. Put them side by side & look at...

    Tier 4 anyone?

Huey, The 4 units we have sold in southern California are averaging 8 GPH. 2 of the units have been sold to Cemex, one to a sand & gravel yard & one to a rock quarry. What is you application & what part of the country are you working in? With the new Cat Product link they can bring up...

    Tier 4 anyone?

Komatsu isn't the only company who doesn't have to stop to do there regen. All of the major equipment manufactures can Regen on the fly, they just use different technology in doing this. Deere & Komatsu are using the Dosing style which sends fuel into the DPF & when the temperature is hot...

    Tier 4 anyone?

Huey, I work for a Cat dealer so I can only speak for the Cat Tier 4I product. We haven't had any DPF issues & we have over 80 pieces out in the field. We have some 349E excavators with over 2500 hours on it with zero service on the DPF. Hope this helps, feel free to email me with more questions...

    Cat vs John Deere Dozers

Cat would have probably told me to go get f@#@##. I'm not brand loyal I like anything that will dig , be efficient and low maintenance I think you have the wrong idea about Cat dealers. They are the market leader for there support & parts availability. The Cat Dealership I use works with me...
