    1989 Prime-mover or John Deere LD50

You are so correct. My monster was an oil and debri mess. A 1989 and who knows how long it has leaked. I did many power washes and had a heck of a time getting into those blind spots. I even had the luxury of replacing 2 hoses that went under to lower bell housing. My next delima was which hose...

    1989 Prime-mover or John Deere LD50

Hey I have a story on a leak out the front. My machine had the same problem. The seal is not a metal clad seal like most other seals. The first time I pulled it the front input has a big snap ring holding an aluminum (don't know what to call it). Anyway the snap ring is a bitch. Now there are 2...

After reading all the posts again on this LD50 I noticed someone posted that removing the hydrostat involved removing the fluid tank. I may be reading it wrong. I removed mine through the inside the cab. I could not fathom removing that tank. So I just started taking apart the seat mounting...

Just a simple reply on the fan issue. I had a 4 blade fan that got destroyed from water pump failure. So I went to a bone yard and found a 5 blade fan with a clutch. This was a temperature type clutch. I did have to make some hole changes on the water pump. This has worked great.

    LD 50 PRIME MOVER

Well I had some issues on my LD 50 that thanks to this site I was able to solve my running problem. I was able to move the monster at least a mile. Ran great but hydraulics are messed up. Forward back no problem, but power steering almost none, and no bucket movement at all. Now in short I...

Hello from iowa I may be the owner of that loader. I live in iowa on the DM river. My friend lived a mile away and I helped him keep that thing running. He has passed away a year ago and he had given me this machine. Needless to say we used the he'll out of that thing. My friend overworked it...

For what it's worth I had very similar situation Wouldn't start after hydrostat fixed. Turned out to be carburetor problem. Cleaned and overhauled carb. However now that it runs having a he'll of a time getting it to idle. My carb was a TSX 813. TRICKY SOB. Motor is a 4 cylinder continental...

    LD 50 PRIME MOVER

Hello friends I have an 1989 LD50 I have used it for two years up to the end of 2023. Pulled hydrostat to clean and fix a leak. Refilled with about 16 to 18 quarts. Started up and moved it about 4 yards. It stopped running and I can't get it to run. Checked all the obvious, spark, gas. Replaced...
