    If that TD25 has been pushing lava, look very close at the undercarrige, There is NOTHING harder on a tractor than lava. Maybe drill and shoot first. Ripping is almost impossible.     greasing circle on 14g

    circle lube Having owned and operated Caterpillar blades in the desert southwest for nearly 40 years, I always used DRY graphite or nothing. When EMPIRE MACHINERY would inspect their lease units,they made sure there was NO grease on the circle. Sand in grease is not a good thing.

    Its a late 2u with a square hood and steel fenders. The earlier 2u had tin fenders with a rolled edge. Also the 14a and 14a had tapered hoods, not square.

    Komatsu scrapers

    Yes, Komatsu did make twin engine push pulls. I saw two new ones in the Hayward, Ca. dealer yard. They looked like 657s. They were just off loaded and did not have the tires on them yet. That was in the early '80s. My son was the parts manager there at the time. I have no idea who bought them.

    Galion grader weight?

    I need the approximate weight of an old galion grader. can not find a tag . Do not know the model #. It has a 12 ft. molboard and a Cummins engine. I need to truck it about 50 miles home. thanks

    Alliss Chalmers TS 562 Twin engine Scraperr

    Western Contracting had two new AC 562s on a job at Questa, NM. in '65. They were fast and hauled alot of dirt. No push-pull.

    "New" haul truck design has 600 ton potential

    I worked for western contracting in the mid 60's. we had a fleet of the Euclid 1LL trucks. as i recall they had twin detroit engines. My foreman drove the 150 ton on a dam job up in Minn. or N.Dakota. about 1950. Nothing was to new or to large for Western. A great company to work for.

    dw20 67c model

    I operated a DW20 88E in NM. Roaded 3 of them for Universal Constructors from Albuquerque to the NASA project at white sands via Las Cruces. Left at daylight ,same time as the lowboy hauling a D-9. All the DW20s arrived before the D9. That was in 1963 as I recall and close to 200 miles.
