    Diesel additive for summer

    I've been putting Lucas diesel additive in my '03 Freightliner FL70 as well as my '00 JCB 212s, both machines start beautifully and run clean. A quart bottle treats 100 gallons of fuel so it feels like an good deal, adding less than $0.02 to the cost per gallon.

    Nope, I was wrong, dang dyslexia got me again. Sensor is good, now to go look at testing the gauge cause it's the JCB crap original.

    JCB 212s (2cx) Coolant temp sensor

    My JCB is a 2000 and I'm not getting temp on the gauge. Started doing a diag on it and the coolant sensor read 1.536k ohm at ambient this morning and 638 ohm after running for 10 minutes. My understanding has been that the resistance goes up with coolant temp so I'm a little perplexed. Anyone...

    Straightening a hydraulic cylinder rod (JCB 212s, backhoe bucket cylinder)

    Your battle is real, the shop I brought my 212s slew cylinder to for rebuild ended up just drilling the pin out and threading it for a grub screw. Took them an extra hour but I figure that was better than the day I would have spent cussing at it.
