    Excavator boom modification

That's just what I have heard, that's why I posted it on here to get other opinions and thoughts. I do however know that the fab shop that made that modification stays very busy and has lots of repeat business, so I would think that there's some truth.

    Excavator boom modification

I recently heard that this modification to the boom is popular in the pacific northwest as it greatly improves lifting strength and height, however it makes a guy wonder why it doesn't come from the factory that way if it makes a big difference in performance?

    Case 855d

When I say size I'm refering to the ft. Lbs. Like 1000ft. lbs or 2000ft lbs for breaking force? Also just because it fits a case 580 does not necessarily mean its an ideal size.

    Case 855d

In the future I would like to get a hydraulic hammer/breaker for this machine to run on the hoe. What would be the right size, and a good brand to get? I am looking in the used market. As the hammer would probably be low use for some small odd jobs every once in awhile. thanks

    Case 855d

Haha, yeah the timing is a bit late, however I finally found some time to get the job done. The job has been on my radar for about a year. No steep slopes or nothing like that just removing the old vandalized and burnt down buildings at the top of the mountain, its pretty flat actually. Will...

Ended up going a different route. I bought a case 855d with a 4in1 and extendahoe. It’s for a small demolition/cleanup job so it should work out well.

    Kobelco sk60 acera

Right, however I thought the import brand machines paint varried depending upon if it’s a grey market machine vs non grey market? At least that’s what I’ve heard, was wondering if someone could confirm this.
