    Piper 100 wondering

Interesting, we have tried forcing air down it it does not fix it. Then we get out the old spectra in the exact same pipe and conditions and the beam does not move at all.

Komatsu D-68 Steering issue when hot

Interesting point kiwi, the day before the o-ring on the fitting between the hard pipe and hose that feeds the steering clutch pump blew out. The guys put a generic metric o-ring in, wonder if it is maybe sucking air in that spot, maybe not correct o-ring?

Komatsu D-68 Steering issue when hot

Just bought a D-68P-1 LGP dozer. Is in excellent shape for the age. The guy I bought it from just went through the finals and replaced the steering clutches. When the dozer gets warm/hot after pushing for an hour or so the steering fades out on both clutches... I am not familiar with these...

Anyone Have dealings with Tony Fernadez in the 60's and or 70's

Interesting-thought about this alot- He murdered my grandmother in the 70's, our family got him on trial-life sentence in prison, and he died in prison. This all of course was before my time. I have debated posting this, but wonder what stories and interactions might surface from this. If...

    Crummy time

There is a similar story Contract Logger, that happened on the white river tree farm years back. I wont say his name- his crew was tired of of how he treated and was quite a screamer, so he showed up on the landing with a brand new pickup, parked over the skyline, started screaming at the crew...

    135 kobelco

I agree with you they all have pros and cons, but as an owner the deeres and hitachis bring twice as much when it comes to trade in time. I will leave it at that, its like chevy, ford or dodge.

    Piper 100 wondering

I have a piper 100 pipe lazer, it wanders at about 300 ft up to about an inch. It has been in the shop 3 times they say there is nothing wrong. Using a fan helps a little but still is a pain. Especially when laying sewer mains that are real flat.

    problems getting 650G in gear

Sounds like you might just have a linkage problem, should be relitively easy to fix in my opinion, those are not very complicated. Pull off the cover and give your linkage rods a visual, might be a simple fix.

Another dumb question - does the blade float?

Float just means that there is no hydraulic pressure applied in either direction, so the weight of the blade is the only down pressure. Its just like if you were to un pin the cylinder.
