    312 swing problem

    More then likely the swing pressure switch has failed. It is on the top of the main control valve. There are 2 little green pressure switches there, they are next to each other. One of them is the travel pressure switch the other is swing/implement pressure switch. change them both they are cheap!

    Cat 345 BL Boom Dropping

    345B's were known for having boom & stick dropping problems with cold oil due to faulty line relief valves. I would try replacing the boom head end relief valve. It is on the top of the boom 1 control valve right next to the drift reduction valve.

    Cat 312 slew vibration

    You need to check the seals in your swivel. I've seen damage like that in a swing motor & it's usually caused by high case drain pressure. the high pressure circuits in the swivel will leak into the case drain circuit.

    cat 330cmh

    It's been a long time since i worked on a 330MH, but i think NL1cat is right there is a solenoid operated valve somewhere on the generator that turns it on...check to see if the coil on the valve is energizing....It's possible the pump may have failed also, it should be the same pump that runs...

    M Series Controls

    They've upgraded the steering software a few times from the original machines... there no longer is a cut in or cut out speed for the speed sensitive steering,it's constantly changing all across the speed range.... but it doesn't change stick tension on the joystick, it slows down wheel response...

    Cat Extended Life Coolant is ethylene glycol based... the only downfall to mixing ELC with conventional "green" coolant is you'll lose the benefits of the long life. It will not cause any other problems

    When you say it runs out of drive..What does that mean?..Does it stop & will not move or does it seem like it is low on drive power?..some d3g had problems with sticking decelerator cables, not allowing the engine to reach high idle speed. Check to see if when the machine acts up, you're not...

    ....Sorry to rain on your parade but you can't just take an injection pump off of 1 engine & expect it to run properly on your engine. Hopefully the used pump you got came from a truck engine & not a machine or industrial engine... It may have the wrong governor spring for your application...

    I know it may be hard to beleive that a pressure switch would cause such a problem, but from what you're describing it just may be that simple.These 2 switches are what operate the AEC (Automatic engine speed control function)I think what is happening is when you travel the travel pressure...

    Awesome job!!!..... Yes the 3064 is a Perkins engine(Cat has a large stake in Perkins)The same engine was used in all 311,312,& 315 A & B series machines. Some of these machines were built in Belgium & some were built in Japan By Shin Mitsubishi.
