    Small Kubota engine won't start

If the glow plugs are OK, did you actually crack the lines @the injectors to verify fuel and air out? If the units not a tier 3/4 you can still check them that way. I had one on an old pump that I rarely use at my place and it failed to start after a long winter, turned out it was the lift pump...

What Are The Best Tools On The Market?

I know that the tool doesn't make the mechanic but afetr 20+ years I have found that at least for me snap-on wrenches prevent alot of busted knuckles. I prefer to spend a little extra for some tools that I find work better. That being said, I have used craftsmen, blackhawk, wright, williams...

reoccurring issue with our L150E, wondering if anyone else experiences this problem

What type of tires are you running? I have a customer with solids on and I had this problem as well. We were able to warranty it while the factory warranty was in effect and after that if it failed in the proper time frame we performed a parts warranty, labor was not included. Is it breaking at...

Show me your sleeve pullers !

Mine basically looks like an inverted 3 jaw puller with a lock plate to hold them against the liner walls. The center rod goes out the top and has a set of steel bars that act as the press block, then it just threads them out. The threaded portion has the same thread size/pitch as an OTC silver...

BAD miss, may have major trouble! 1967 580ck. Roughest backhoe in captivity.

Were you able to clean the liner tops and get a good measurement for liner height? The carbon on the liner edges usually can be knocked off with a die grinder and scotch brite pad. I usually do that prior to making my 4 pt. measurement.

    anybody workin in north dakota

I know RDO is recruiting hard and heavy and making some good offers, I considered their Svc. Mgr. spot in one of the N. Dakota branches, but it gets way to cold for a Texas boy up there!!!!! I have heard that the oil/gas drilling companies are paying top dollar for operators/mechanics/drivers.

    Bucket rattling

I don't mind it when they do it, I think alot of it is just habit. Plus it's job security for us lowly field techs!!

    480D//LL centre link

It has been alongtime since I havve done it but they can be straightened without a press, it is dangerous though so be extremely careful. It can be done on the machine but is easier off the unit. We used to have that happen on our rental fleet units pretty regularly. Shoot me an email and I will...

    JD 410c hydraulic issues??????

When you checked the hose section for leaks was the unit hot? We had a unit that the supply side line was collapsing after the unit got warmed up. Shut it down and it would operate for abit on start up then samething. Also, if the hose is collapsing there is a chance that the inner hose may have...

large snake hanging from an excavator

It wouldn't matter, I treat all snakes as if they are one of the dreaded copper headed rattle moccasins and treat accordingly with tender loving care from my 12 guage.

EC Volvo 160 just won't Start

Yotanut has it. I have found that on several older units. Drove me nuts the first time I ran across it.

BAD miss, may have major trouble! 1967 580ck. Roughest backhoe in captivity.

Definitely pull the valve cover and check there. Also, did you crack the line for #1 and make sure you are getting plenty of fuel there? If you can swap the injector in question with another that is known to work and see if the problem goes to the other cylinder thats a quick way on some of the...

I agree. However, there are alot of companies that try and get by with make fit tools and improvised items that have the potential for serious injury/death. And lets be honest alot of guys in this economy can't take a chance on lsing their job so they try and do the best they can with what they...

installing breaker to komatsu pc210-5 excavator

Your dealer can provide you the correct plumbing information. The lines on the end of the boom are often not marked but they will be at the valve block.

    Hitachi Ex120 Problem

Not a 100% on the smaller units, but the bigger with the Isuzu engines there is a metal screen on the banjo bolt at the injection pump coming from the filter housing output side. I usually pull the banjo bolt and remove the screen retainer(slotted) and then clean with brakeclean and compressed...

    Oil Cooler Repair

If it is a seam thats leaking it will continue to crack. I normally use a vacuum pump to hold the oil while I pull the cooler and cap/plug the lines till I am ready to go back in with it. Once off I use caps or adaptor hoses (I have made up a fairly decent set) to plug one side and pressurize...
