    I remember the Monfort lane but we had a union steward who carried the nickname of Monfort . He always had the "new" truck . Every one else drove his hand me downs and he was happy to tell you that .

    That was the only thing the big boss was happy about . Most of the guys i worked with would throw one chain over the top . Was asked by more than one why I chained like that . Told them I didn't want the damn thing in the cab with me if things went south .

    They did use the crane to pick it up . If I recall it was rated as an 80 ton without weights . The trailer was bent so bad it was cut up and and sent to the salvage yard

    200 ton hydro had a night job setting steel over 71 highway . Boss sent us out earlier that day to move the machine and stage the counterweight loads close to the job . Night guy missed getting under the trailer square and this happened . By the time this was cleaned up they missed the window...
